Use Kew Bridge if you are arriving by South Western Railway from Waterloo. The station is next to the stadium, but reaching the away entrance involves following signs around to Capital Interchange Way.
Plan a stay at Brentford ↗Use the East Stand away entrance, reached over the railway bridge from Capital Interchange Way. Follow the visiting-supporter signs rather than approaching Gate E from Lionel Road South: the club says there is no through-route between those entrances for away fans. Your ticket will direct you to turnstile F, G or H. The club places visiting supporters in the East Stand and normally opens the turnstiles 90 minutes before kick-off. Allow extra time for searches, particularly if arriving with the main crowds from Kew Bridge.
Away Fans ↗If you are heading back towards Waterloo, expect a managed queue at Kew Bridge and allow longer than the station's short walking distance suggests. Brentford tells away supporters using Kew Bridge to walk round from Capital Interchange Way via Lionel Road South to join the main station queue. Gunnersbury may not reopen until an hour after the final whistle, according to August 2026 visiting-club advice. Consider Kew Gardens, Acton Town or another suitable connection if the return service is tight. Drivers should allow for traffic clearing around the stadium and avoid arranging an unrealistic pick-up on the away-coach road.
Away Fans ↗Stay around Brentford or Kew Bridge if you want the simplest return after the match. You'll be near the stadium and can use the South Western Railway line, but the immediate stadium area is more about transport and new developments than a night out.

Compare the stay areas →Use Kew Bridge if you are arriving by South Western Railway from Waterloo. The station is next to the stadium, but reaching the away entrance involves following signs around to Capital Interchange Way. Kew Bridge has stairs to the platforms, so it is unsuitable if you need step-free access.
Brentford station is the alternative for an accessible rail journey and is farther from the ground. Check its lift status before travelling: National Rail currently reports a lift fault affecting platform 2. Gunnersbury offers District line and Mildmay line connections, but its small platforms cause restrictions on busy matchdays.

For most visitors, rail to Kew Bridge is easier than changing onto a bus for the final short distance. From other parts of west London, routes 237 and 267 serve the stadium area and are useful connections towards Brentford town centre and the surrounding districts. Use TfL's journey planner to find the correct boarding stop and return direction.
Brentford also lists services 65, H91 and 391 among the routes serving the wider ground area. Stop locations and diversion arrangements can differ by route, so check them for your match rather than assuming there is a dedicated football shuttle.
Official away coaches should use Capital Interchange Way, TW8 0EX. Brentford directs these vehicles to park beside the visiting East Stand approach, leaving supporters close to the railway bridge and away turnstiles.
Travel with your coach organiser's instructions for the return rather than arranging an independent collection point on Lionel Road South. Police and stewards may control vehicles and walking routes after the match. If your party needs an accessible coach, ask the visiting club to confirm the arrangement with Brentford's supporter liaison officer.
Contact Brentford's accessibility team before travelling if you need a wheelchair position or parking close to the away entrance. The club offers a limited visiting Blue Badge allocation on Capital Interchange Way, sold subject to availability. Accessible visiting entry is at turnstile G, with lifts serving the away viewing areas.
The school car park at Our Lady & St John's RC Primary School offers pre-booked Blue Badge spaces and a minibus shuttle, but the shuttle has steps and only accepts foldable wheelchairs. If travelling by train, Kew Bridge is not step-free and Brentford station currently has a reported lift fault. Confirm your complete route, not just your chosen seat.

Stay around Brentford or Kew Bridge if you want the simplest return after the match. You'll be near the stadium and can use the South Western Railway line, but the immediate stadium area is more about transport and new developments than a night out. Chiswick High Road is the better option if pubs and restaurants matter as much as the football, with Gunnersbury and the District line nearby. If you are staying overnight with a car, check your hotel's actual parking policy: Premier Inn London Kew Bridge advertises limited first-come spaces rather than an allocated matchday reservation.
Travel to the stadium ↗For the best all-round football trip, stay in the Brentford/Kew Bridge/Chiswick edge rather than central London. Novotel London Brentford gives a strong balance of walkability, facilities, current reputation and Booking.com coverage. Travelodge London Chiswick High Road is the strongest close-to-ground budget option. If the evening matters as much as the match, central Chiswick around Turnham Green is more attractive.
Chiswick High Road is the better post-match area for pubs, bars and food. The strongest cluster is further east around Turnham Green, where there are numerous independent restaurants, pubs and bars. Kew Bridge is the nearest National Rail station to the stadium. Gunnersbury provides London Overground and District line connections and is useful for the Chiswick hotels. Brentford station is useful for the Novotel/Brentford side but is less direct for the stadium than Kew Bridge.
