The Gunnersbury — away supporters arriving around Gunnersbury · groups wanting a clearly identified visiting-supporter base

Plan a stay at Brentford ↗

Research checked 2026-10-01 · Match arrangements can change.

BEFORE YOU SET OFF

Put your trip together

01 · Arrive

Your route into Gtech Community Stadium

Use the East Stand away entrance, reached over the railway bridge from Capital Interchange Way. Follow the visiting-supporter signs rather than approaching Gate E from Lionel Road South: the club says there is no through-route between those entrances for away fans. Your ticket will direct you to turnstile F, G or H. The club places visiting supporters in the East Stand and normally opens the turnstiles 90 minutes before kick-off. Allow extra time for searches, particularly if arriving with the main crowds from Kew Bridge.

02 · Before the match

The Gunnersbury

Expect it to be busy on matchdays and book if a table matters. No current published source found explicitly states an away-colours policy, so colours remain unknown.

03 · Stay or head home?

Choose your base before your hotel

Stay around Brentford or Kew Bridge if you want the simplest return after the match. You'll be near the stadium and can use the South Western Railway line, but the immediate stadium area is more about transport and new developments than a night out.

The Gunnersbury

Good for away supporters arriving around Gunnersbury · groups wanting a clearly identified visiting-supporter base

The Gunnersbury is the clearest evidence-backed away pub for Brentford.

Expect designated away pub · independent community pub · live sport

Before you go Expect it to be busy on matchdays and book if a table matters. No current published source found explicitly states an away-colours policy, so colours remain unknown.

Pub food

The Steam Packet

Good for riverside pre-match drinks · pub food

A current riverside pub under Urban Pubs & Bars with seasonal pub food and a terrace. Supporter reports describe home and away fans mixing outside on matchdays, and visiting-club guidance has listed it among the closest pubs. A current independent 2026/27 guide, however, groups it with home-supporter territory and advises against away colours, so away use needs fixture-day checking.

Expect riverside · food led · busy on matchdays

Before you go Family use has restrictions: CAMRA says children are limited to lunchtimes/early evenings in the upstairs dining room and are not allowed in the downstairs bar; prams are not allowed inside.

Pub food

The Bell & Crown

Good for families · riverside food and drinks

A Fuller's riverside pub that is a useful food-first or family-friendly alternative to the busiest football pubs. The venue explicitly welcomes families and serves food, while visiting-supporter guidance includes it among the closest pubs in an area that generally welcomes both sets of supporters. Brentford supporters also repeatedly recommend it as a riverside matchday stop.

Expect riverside · relaxed · food friendly

Before you go No current venue-published away-colours rule was found, so colours remain unknown even though visiting guidance is positive.

Pub food

Black Dog Beer House

Good for craft and real ale · proper sit-down food before the match

An independent backstreet pub with a serious beer range and a full in-house food offer. Current CAMRA information and the venue site verify that it is active, while recent Brentford supporter threads repeatedly single it out for both food and beer on matchdays. It is a useful club-area pub, but there is no current venue-published away-fan or colours policy.

Expect independent beer pub · backstreet local · food led

Before you go Under-18s are allowed only until 8.30pm and the venue warns that prams can be difficult in the small pub. Away admission and colours should be checked for the fixture.

Pub food

The Globe

Good for home supporters · strong Brentford atmosphere

One of the clearest home-supporter pubs in the current research. The Globe calls itself a proud Brentford supporter venue, shows extensive live sport and serves food, while recent Brentford supporters describe it as the most full-on Bees pub. Older community comments are relaxed about away use, but a current 2026/27 guide advises away colours to avoid the Globe, so away suitability should not be assumed.

Expect full-on Brentford supporter pub · live sport · strong home atmosphere

Before you go The pub has a kids menu, but no matchday-specific family or away policy is published. Away supporters, especially in colours, should check current fixture guidance rather than treating it as a neutral mixed pub.

Korean fried chicken, matcha and coffee

INYUN

Good for fried chicken · small groups

A current independent food stop worth making time for: triple-fried Korean chicken with soy-garlic or chilli glaze, plus tteokbokki and coffee. It works for dine-in or takeaway before the match.

Expect independent · Korean · quick meal

Before you go Only ten whole chickens are made each day and Monday is closed. Pre-order a whole bird if that is specifically what you are going for.

Food & drink
Triple-fried whole chicken, wings or tenders with OG, soy-garlic or sweet-and-spicy finishes; tteokbokki, coffee and matcha.

Pub food

Express Tavern

Good for supporters approaching from Kew Bridge · a pub very close to the stadium

Express Tavern has unusually clear first-party evidence for visiting supporters: its current matchday page says home and away supporters are always welcome. It promotes pre-match food, matchday grab-and-go options and live sport, making it one of the safest near-stadium recommendations.

Expect lively matchday pub · home-and-away mixed · sports focused

Before you go The explicit welcome to away supporters does not by itself confirm that away colours are accepted for every fixture. No current child-admission policy specific to football matchdays was found.

Pub food

Coach & Horses Kew

Good for supporters basing themselves around Kew Green · a sit-down meal before the match

Coach & Horses is another well-evidenced Kew Green option. The current official site confirms an operating pub and hotel serving food throughout the day.

Expect traditional Kew pub · hotel pub · food led

Before you go The venue is welcoming to families in general language, but no football-specific child or away-colours policy was found, so family fit is marked 'check'.

Pub food

Rose & Crown

Good for Kew Green food and drink if matchday admission is confirmed · supporters wanting a refurbished traditional pub

The current pub at 79 Kew Green is Rose & Crown, not The Cricketers. It is open, food-led and family-friendly, but current Brentford away guides published in 2026 still refer to 'The Cricketers' as an away option. Because the venue changed management and reverted to the Rose & Crown name in 2025, it is not safe to assume the previous football admission policy carried over unchanged.

Expect refurbished Kew Green pub · food led · garden

Before you go Verify directly with Rose & Crown for the specific fixture before publishing it as an away pub. The stale-name issue may also reflect stale admission information.

food

Strand Cafe

Good for supporters wanting food without a pub · earlier arrivals on the Chiswick side

Its current website confirms a family-run riverside cafe and restaurant serving British and Thai food, while a 2026 Food Standards Agency record provides additional evidence that the business is currently operating.

Expect riverside cafe · non-pub food stop · British and Thai food

Before you go This is a food recommendation rather than a football pub, so no away-fan or colours policy is inferred. Opening should still be checked against the fixture time.

Gtech Community Stadium visiting-supporter concourse

Good for late arrivals · supporters who do not want a pub

The away concourse is a reliable fallback rather than an afterthought. Tottenham’s August 2026 visitor guide confirms a wide range of food in the visiting kiosks, including vegetarian and vegan options, plus alcoholic and soft drinks. Brentford’s current 2026/27 catering information also confirms plant-based options across the stadium and a refreshed matchday food offer.

Expect stadium concourse · cashless · broad food and drink

Before you go The stadium is cashless. Brentford says under-14s must attend with a responsible adult; no dedicated away-family area was identified in the current sources, so family fit is marked 'check'.

The Coffee Traveller

Good for early arrivals · breakfast

A better early-arrival option than pub food: speciality coffee, breakfast and brunch on Thames Road, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices. It is specifically recommended in visiting-supporter guidance.

Expect independent · breakfast · coffee

Before you go A strong current venue website was not surfaced, so opening information is cross-checked through current local and claimed business listings rather than first-party football material.

Italian and Sicilian

Siracusa

Good for overnight visitors · groups

A proper Brentford-centre meal rather than a quick matchday bite. The restaurant actively mentions football visitors and offers pizza, pasta, seafood and Sicilian mains, with group dining available.

Expect proper meal · Italian · Brentford centre

Before you go Monday is closed and Tuesday–Friday service is evening-led. It suits Saturday lunch, Sunday lunch or a post-match meal better than every kick-off slot.

Gtech Community Stadium East Stand visiting concourse

0 min walk

Good for away supporters · late arrivals

The unusually strong stadium-food option. Away fans are in the East Stand, where Brentford currently places Brilliant by Dipna, alongside the visiting kiosks’ wider vegetarian, vegan and drinks range.

Expect inside away end · cashless · stadium

Before you go Loaded fries are specifically listed for the north and west stands, not the East. Use the current fixture menu or BeeOrder rather than assuming every stadium item is local.

WHERE TO STAY

Where should you stay?

Choose a base for the football and the rest of your visit.

Where to stay

Stay around Brentford or Kew Bridge if you want the simplest return after the match. You'll be near the stadium and can use the South Western Railway line, but the immediate stadium area is more about transport and new developments than a night out. Chiswick High Road is the better option if pubs and restaurants matter as much as the football, with Gunnersbury and the District line nearby. If you are staying overnight with a car, check your hotel's actual parking policy: Premier Inn London Kew Bridge advertises limited first-come spaces rather than an allocated matchday reservation.

Travel to the stadium ↗

For the best all-round football trip, stay in the Brentford/Kew Bridge/Chiswick edge rather than central London. Novotel London Brentford gives a strong balance of walkability, facilities, current reputation and Booking.com coverage. Travelodge London Chiswick High Road is the strongest close-to-ground budget option. If the evening matters as much as the match, central Chiswick around Turnham Green is more attractive.

For the evening

Chiswick High Road is the better post-match area for pubs, bars and food. The strongest cluster is further east around Turnham Green, where there are numerous independent restaurants, pubs and bars. This is good for an evening out rather than late-night clubbing. Second Nature Chiswick places you directly in that cluster.

For the train

Kew Bridge is the nearest National Rail station to the stadium. Gunnersbury provides London Overground and District line connections and is useful for the Chiswick hotels. Brentford station is useful for the Novotel/Brentford side but is less direct for the stadium than Kew Bridge.
