What this club is really about

Northampton's boot-and-shoe industry gave the Cobblers their name, while local school football supplied their founders. Sharing the County Ground with cricket created an unusual home. Dave Bowen took the club to an extraordinary league peak, Walter Tull became a figure of national historical importance, and supporters founded a trust in 1992 that influenced fan ownership across English football. Those local beginnings have produced some remarkable stories.
