Travelodge Crawley Hotel
Crawley town centre / High Street
This is the strongest football-trip compromise in Crawley. It is in the town-centre orbit rather than beside the stadium, but that is an advantage once the match finishes: Crawley station, High Street food and pubs are close, current reputation is materially stronger than several nearer budget options, and direct Travelodge pricing is usually in the budget/value part of the market. Use the bus or a short taxi if a 1.
- Town-centre position works better for an overnight supporter than an airport-focused hotel.
- About 0.4 miles from Crawley railway station and around 1.3 miles from Broadfield Stadium on third-party location cross-checks.
Third-party location sources place Broadfield Stadium about 1.2-1.3 miles away. Walking is realistic for many supporters, but Route 10 or a taxi is the easier post-match option, especially in poor weather.
It is not the shortest walk to Broadfield Stadium; supporters prioritising the ground over the evening should consider Goff's Park instead.

Premier Inn Gatwick Crawley Town (Goff's Park) Hotel
Goff's Park / Southgate
This is the closest hotel we are comfortable actively recommending after weighing distance against recent reputation. It is about a 15-minute walk from Broadfield Stadium and about 15 minutes from Crawley station, so it gives you a genuinely short matchday walk without isolating you from town.
- Broadfield Stadium is listed at roughly a 15-minute walk.
- Crawley station is also around a 15-minute walk, keeping rail arrival practical.
Hotels.com location information lists Broadfield Stadium at about 1.3 km / 15 minutes' walk. Barrington Lodge is physically closer, but its current reputation evidence is too weak for MatchdayHotels to promote it as the practical choice.
Recent September 2026 reviews include a security complaint about an annexe entrance being wedged open.

Parking
Driving & road restrictions
Set your sat-nav for Broadfield Stadium, Winfield Way, Crawley RH11 9RX. From the M23, leave at junction 11 for Pease Pottage and follow the A23 towards Crawley. The stadium turning is by the roundabout with the large football, so use your chosen parking entrance rather than automatically following cars into the stadium.
For the free business-park option, look for Broadfield Business Park and William Reed before the stadium turning. If stewards direct you to Tilgate Forest Business Centre, follow the authorised access route across the A23. Avoid stopping on grass verges, bus routes or residential junctions, and check traffic updates separately for evening fixtures and local events.
- Sat-nav for stadium
- Broadfield Stadium, Winfield Way, Crawley, RH11 9RX.
- Main approach
- M23 junction 11 Pease Pottage, then A23 north towards Crawley and the football roundabout.
- William Reed approach
- Broadfield Park / Broadfield Business Park turning before the stadium turn when approaching from Pease Pottage.
- Tilgate Forest approach
- Opposite side of A23; follow venue/football parking signage rather than entering reserved premises.
- Historic local congestion evidence
- Council planning evidence records complaints about matchday cars on verges, lay-bys and near A23 access.
Parking & park-and-ride
Free off-site parking is realistic without booking if you arrive early and have a fallback. The best-established choices are William Reed at Broadfield Business Park (RH11 9RT) and the Tilgate Forest Business Centre (RH11 9BP). Both accept football visitors, but spaces are not guaranteed.
Try William Reed first, just before the stadium turning when approaching on the A23. Allow extra time to reach the north-end away entrance. If full, use Tilgate Forest only where football parking is authorised for your fixture.
We could not confirm a named residential street that is unrestricted throughout a full matchday visit. Southgate parking zones include permit-controlled sections of Brighton Road, Beechside and Barley Close, with weekday/Saturday controls. An empty space or past fan experience is not proof of permission.
A reliable alternative is Broadfield Barton council car park, reached from Pelham Place or Holyrood Place. It is free and open 24 hours, but involves a longer onward journey. For a paid fallback, Orchard Street multi-storey in the town centre is £3 for up to 24 hours; continue by Fastway 10.
Aim to be parked at least an hour before kick-off, and allow roughly four hours for the entire visit. K2 Leisure Centre is not a safe default: older football guidance describes a two-hour limit, and newer council decisions concern additional enforcement. Stadium spaces are sold separately for 2026/27; ignore outdated walk-up prices.
On Sundays and bank holidays some residential permit hours differ, but yellow lines and other restrictions still apply. If business-park spaces are unavailable, use the council fallback instead of circling nearby streets.
- Parking verdict
- Free off-site football parking is realistic with an early arrival and a backup; do not rely on residential street parking.
- Free option — Broadfield Business Park
- William Reed car park / Broadfield Business Park, RH11 9RT: free designated football option reported by visiting clubs and host-stadium guidance.
- Walk — William Reed
- Short approach from the business park by the stadium turning; allow extra walking to the north-end away turnstiles.
- Matchday availability — William Reed
- Shared first-come parking; space cannot be guaranteed. A secondary guide reports closing one hour after full-time, but that closing time is not operator-verified.
- Free option — Tilgate Forest Business Centre
- RH11 9BP: visiting-club sources report free authorised overflow football parking across the A23.
- Walk — Tilgate Forest
- Previous matchday guides describe a short walk; use signed crossing routes and allow for away entrance at north end.
- Free option — Broadfield Barton council car park
- Off Pelham Place / Holyrood Place; free of charge and open 24 hours according to council.
- Legal restrictions — Brighton Road Zone E
- The council lists the east side as permit holders only during Monday–Saturday 09:00–17:00 in Southgate Zone E; other sections have no-waiting/limited-waiting designations. The zone listing does not legalise the entire Brighton Road corridor.
- Legal restrictions — Barley Close and Beechside
- Southgate Zone D lists permit-only sections/bays and no-waiting or limited-waiting elsewhere, Monday–Saturday 09:00–17:00.
- Legal restrictions — Sundays and bank holidays
- The council says Monday–Saturday resident-zone restrictions do not apply on bank holidays; check signage and other restrictions on every day.
- Arrive by — free business parks
- Allow at least 60 minutes before kick-off as a planning buffer, earlier for big fixtures; not an official cut-off.
- Paid fallback
- Orchard Street multi-storey, town centre: £3 for up to 24 hours, then Fastway 10 to Broadfield Stadium.
- Booking recommendation
- Do not need to pre-book for designated off-site free areas when active, but reserve a legitimate private driveway if requiring certainty; official stadium spaces are not a dependable walk-up product.
- Stadium parking — 2026/27
- Season car park spaces are sold or renewed through club ticket office, with unreserved seasonal spaces offered from July 2026; matchday public sale is not verified.
- K2 Leisure Centre use
- Not recommended for a full match: older matchday guidance says two-hour limit; council 2025–26 decisions discuss control/enforcement and do not establish unrestricted football permission.
- Total dwell time
- Allow approximately four hours for parking, both walks, arriving before kick-off, match/half-time/stoppage and departure; longer for a pre-match pub or possible cup extra time.
- After the match
- William Reed closing time and car-park egress must be checked for the fixture; council Broadfield Barton and Orchard Street have 24-hour access.

Trains
Rail, Underground & tram
Use Crawley railway station for Broadfield Stadium. The ground is south of the centre and is roughly a 25-minute walk, while Metrobus Fastway 10 stops beside the stadium. Crawley station has step-free access to all platforms, although you should check lift availability before travelling.
Three Bridges is a useful alternative if your train arrives there directly, particularly from London or Gatwick. Take Fastway 20 towards Broadfield rather than walking the longer route to the ground. Both services can be busy at full-time, so check your return train against the bus journey and leave a sensible connection margin.
- Recommended rail station
- Crawley (CRW): nearest main railway station; Fastway 10 or approximately 25-minute walk.
- Alternative station
- Three Bridges (TBD): transfer to Fastway 20 towards Broadfield Stadium.
- Crawley station step-free
- National Rail describes Crawley as step-free category A with lifts to all platforms.
- Three Bridges step-free and current alert
- Category A, but the inspected National Rail page warns of out-of-order lifts between platforms 3/4 and the subway; verify before accessible travel.
- Rail onward travel
- Metrobus 10 and 20 both call at Broadfield Stadium.
- No separate stadium railway station
- Use Crawley or Three Bridges with onward walking/bus travel.
Station to ground & away entrance
From Crawley station, follow Station Way and turn south into Brighton Road. Continue towards Southgate and use the pedestrian underpass at the main road to approach Broadfield Stadium safely. Allow roughly 25–30 minutes for the walk rather than planning to reach the turnstiles at the last minute.
Visiting supporters normally use the North Terrace for standing tickets and part of the East Stand for seats. Follow the signed away entrance at the north end, near the corner of those stands, and use the gate or turnstile specified on your ticket. AccessAble identifies Gate 25 as an away-supporter accessible entrance, but the precise arrangements can change with the allocation.
- Walking route from Crawley station
- Station Way, Brighton Road, Southgate/A23 underpass, then the signed ground entrance.
- Walk from Crawley station
- Approximately 25–30 minutes, with pedestrian underpass access.
- Away standing area
- North Terrace / KR-L terrace.
- Away seated area
- A segregated section of the East Stand, subject to fixture allocation.
- Accessible away entrance
- AccessAble identifies Gate 25 at the corner of the K-RL and GFS stands, with a permanent ramp.
- Exact fixture entrance
- Follow the ticket and steward instructions: visiting allocation can vary.

Coaches
Away coaches
If you are travelling on an organised away coach, use the drop-off and collection instructions given by your own club or coach organiser. The visiting entrance is at the north end of the stadium, but a previous accessibility report describes coaches being diverted from their normal parking area when television vehicles occupied part of the site.
Do not assume the coach will collect you from exactly where it dropped you off. Confirm the collection point and any walking assistance before travelling, then keep your group together after the match. We could not verify a fixed public coach-parking bay or collection street for every fixture.
- Reason collection can vary
- A recorded away-supporter visit describes coach relocation to a school-area drop-off when broadcasters used the usual coach area.
- Walking assistance
- Confirm accessible drop-off requirements with away club or coach organiser in advance.
- Away turnstiles
- North end near the North Terrace and East Stand.
Buses
Buses & local travel
Take Metrobus Fastway 10 from central Crawley and get off at Broadfield Stadium, directly beside the ground. During the Crawley bus-station works, services 1, 2 and 10 use temporary Station Way stop TA instead of their usual southbound stops. Check the stop on the day rather than following an older guide to Stop A.
Fastway 20 links Three Bridges and Gatwick with the stadium. Metrobus advertises frequent daytime services and a Crawley adult single fare of £3, payable on board. For evening fixtures, check the correct return direction and the actual departure time; advertised frequencies are not a promise that a bus will be waiting after the final whistle.
- Fastway 10 route
- Crawley town centre and Crawley station area to Broadfield Stadium.
- Bus station stop during 2026 works
- Temporary Station Way stop TA replaces southbound Stop A/B for services 1, 2 and 10 from 5 September 2026 until further notice.
- Fastway 20 route
- Three Bridges, Crawley and Gatwick linked with Broadfield Stadium.
- Fastway 10 normal daytime frequency

Accessibility
Accessible journeys
Contact Crawley Town before travelling if you need an accessible away ticket, parking or a suitable drop-off point. The club has dedicated away wheelchair positions, and AccessAble records a ramped away-supporter entrance at Gate 25. Your ticketed stand and the access route need confirming together, particularly if the visiting allocation changes.
Crawley railway station is described as step-free to all platforms, but that does not establish that the full walk to the stadium is step-free. The club's disabled-supporter contact is listed through Level Playing Field on 01293 410000. Accessible parking capacity is limited, so request and confirm a space rather than assuming a Blue Badge alone permits entry to the stadium car park.
- Disabled supporter contact
- Crawley Town FC Disabled Supporter Liaison, club telephone 01293 410000.
- Away accessible entrance
- Gate 25, by K-RL/GFS corner; AccessAble describes a permanent ramp.
- Away wheelchair locations
- Designated away wheelchair facilities in/near the North Terrace and East Stand; allocation needs confirmation.
- Accessible parking
- Limited away disabled bays; club arrangement and payment must be confirmed in advance.
- Crawley station access
- Category A step-free platforms via lifts; check live lift availability.
After the match
After the match
If you need to catch a train, decide your return route before kick-off. Fastway 10 takes you towards Crawley station and town centre, while Fastway 20 serves Three Bridges. Use the signed Broadfield Stadium stops and check the next departure rather than relying on a generic matchday frequency.
Drivers using William Reed should head back to their car after full-time rather than assuming the site stays open late. A secondary guide suggests a one-hour closing window, which we could not confirm with the operator. Reports of car-park exits vary, so allow for pedestrians and traffic around the A23. For a later departure, choose a council car park explicitly listed as open 24 hours.
- Bus to Crawley station
- Fastway 10 from Broadfield Stadium towards Crawley town centre.
- Bus to Three Bridges
- Fastway 20 from Broadfield Stadium towards Three Bridges.
- William Reed after-match closure
- Secondary ground guide says one hour after the final whistle; not confirmed directly with operator.
- A23 exit congestion
- Older council planning evidence describes matchday verge and traffic pressure; no current fixed post-match holding period verified.
- Reported leaving experience
- One 2025 visitor review reports a quick William Reed exit; anecdote is not a guaranteed matchday pattern.
- Late vehicle collection backup
- Broadfield Barton and Orchard Street council car parks: published 24-hour access.
Where to stay
Stay around Crawley town centre and High Street if you want pubs, restaurants and the easiest rail connection alongside your football trip. Crawley station and the Fastway 10 provide a straightforward route to the ground. Travelodge Crawley on Pegler Way is one practical central option, though you should compare the actual price and its guest-parking conditions for your dates.
Broadfield is the more convenient area for the turnstiles but has fewer reasons to stay after the match. Three Bridges or Gatwick may suit a flight connection or a hotel near another railway service, with Fastway 20 providing the stadium link. For most overnight away supporters, the trade-off favours Crawley centre unless a particularly early flight or very late arrival changes the plan.
- Recommended stay area
- Crawley town centre / High Street near Crawley station and the Fastway 10 link.
- Example town-centre hotel
- Travelodge Crawley, Pegler Way, RH10 1GE.
- Travelodge hotel parking terms
- Hotel directs qualifying guests to register their vehicle with reception for designated Sussex House car park spaces; not public matchday parking.
- Alternative stay area
- Three Bridges / Gatwick for onward rail or flight connections, using Fastway 20 to the stadium.
- Stadium-area trade-off
- Broadfield Stadium is near A23/Broadfield rather than Crawley town-centre amenities.

Crawley station is just over a mile from Broadfield Stadium, usually a 20–25-minute walk down Brighton Road; Fastway 10 is the easy alternative. Train arrivals should meet at the Railway beside the station, then walk on or take the bus. Near the ground, New Moon is the strongest conventional away pub, while an away fanzone operates beside the North Stand turnstiles. Redz/the supporters’ bar has also admitted visitors recently, but access is fixture-specific. That matters: for Grimsby in April 2026, Crawley listed New Moon, Railway and Redz for away fans but made Downsman home-only. Away supporters stand behind the goal in the North Stand or sit in the East Stand. For food, the fanzone vans and current Piglets Pantry pies are the football options; Cafe Santa Maria is a better proper breakfast or lunch nearby. Town-centre Crawley works best for overnight stays, with Three Bridges/Gatwick a useful alternative if using Snooty Fox and the Fastway 20.

Food & quick bites
Where to grab a bite, have a proper meal or try the local matchday favourite.
Away Fanzone Food Vans
The strongest football-specific food option before entry. Recent visitors found chips and burgers directly outside the away turnstiles, with food allowed into the adjacent bar.
Broadfield Stadium Away-End Concourse
The current in-ground pick is the pie rather than the wider kiosk range. Piglets Pantry supplies the stadium and a visiting supporter paid £5 for a steak-and-ale pie in August.
Cafe Santa Maria
The best proper cafe close to the ground. It opens early on Saturdays and gives supporters a full breakfast or hot lunch rather than relying on stadium snacks.
Crow Coffee
A strong independent town-centre stop for breakfast or brunch before the match. It is better suited to an early arrival or overnight stay than a last-minute food run.
Da Nico
The best current sit-down restaurant lead in the town centre. It opens for Saturday lunch and gives supporters proper pizza and pasta before the walk or bus to the ground.
Troy Kebab Broadfield
A straightforward near-ground takeaway for supporters who want something hot without sitting down. It adds a later-opening option around Broadfield Barton.
