WHERE TO STAY
Where should Bromley fans stay?
Start with our all-round pick, choose a ground-first base, or stay where the pubs and evening are.
Match night · 2 guests · 1 room
Park Inn by Radisson Peterborough
City centre / Wentworth Street
The best all-round current choice for a Peterborough United overnight trip. It gives up only a few minutes versus the closest stadium hotels, but in return you get a much stronger recent quality signal, a central position for food and drinks, useful station access, free hotel parking and verified Booking.com availability.
- A practical roughly 10-13 minute walk to the ground, so supporters can do the match on foot.
- Central enough for Cathedral Square, Bridge Street and the wider city-centre food-and-drink offer.
Approximately 0.46 miles straight-line from hotel/stadium coordinates; the realistic pedestrian route is nearer 0.6 miles and typically around 10-13 minutes, using the central/Town Bridge approach.
Midweek prices were highly variable in the sampled dates and can be substantially higher than weekends.
Compare live rates and room options for your dates.
The Queensgate Hotel
Fletton Avenue / stadium edge
The distance winner by a large margin: Booking.com describes it as next to Peterborough Football Club and the hotel is about a tenth of a mile from the stadium coordinates. It can make sense for a supporter who wants the shortest possible post-match walk and a low room price.
- Effectively beside Weston Homes Stadium; the walk is only a couple of minutes.
- Generally the cheapest of the three primary hotels in the sampled dates.
Approximately 0.11 miles straight-line from the stadium coordinates. Booking.com explicitly describes the hotel as next to Peterborough Football Club.
Current Booking.com score is materially below Park Inn and The Bull.
Compare live rates and room options for your dates.
The Bull Hotel; Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western
Westgate / city centre
The strongest pick if the football trip includes a proper city-centre evening. The Bull is on Westgate at the heart of Peterborough's central entertainment and shopping district, within an easy walk of Broadway, Cathedral Square and the station. It also has more character than the modern chains.
- Best of the primary choices for being immediately in the city-centre food, pub and late-evening area.
- Broadway, identified by local tourism material as Peterborough's nightlife area, is close by.
Approximately 0.68 miles straight-line from hotel/stadium coordinates; allow around 0.8 miles and 15-18 minutes on the practical walking route.
The stadium walk is longer than Park Inn and much longer than Queensgate.

Parking
Driving & road restrictions
Set your sat-nav for Pleasure Fair Meadow car park, PE2 9PB, rather than the stadium itself. There is no general public matchday parking inside Weston Homes Stadium, and the council car park is opposite the ground near Town Bridge.
From the A1 southbound approach, Peterborough United directs drivers via junction 17, the A1139 Fletton Parkway, A1260 Nene Parkway and A605 Oundle Road. Approaches from the north can use the A47 and A1260. Follow current signs near Town Bridge rather than trying to enter the club's private parking.
Allow extra time around London Road and the bridge before kick-off. The station-area Queensgate roadworks are a separate consideration if you use a city-centre car park instead.

Parking & park-and-ride
Use Pleasure Fair Meadow rather than searching for a free residential bay. It is a council-run matchday car park opposite the ground. You do not normally need to pre-book, but spaces are unreserved, so arrive in good time.
For a weekday evening match, Pleasure Fair Meadow is free after 3pm under the council's scheme running to March 2028. For Saturday or Sunday football, budget £6.20 for up to 24 hours. The car park has 316 spaces, and visiting guides put the stadium about five minutes away. Allow longer to reach your actual away entrance.
We could not confirm a named unrestricted street suitable for a full match. London Road, Glebe Road, Fairfield Road and Fletton Avenue have residents' bays, while parts of Oundle Road are also permit-controlled. A parking space that looks empty is not necessarily available to visiting supporters.
If the nearest car park fills, try the authorised Railworld matchday car park, which takes payment on arrival, or council-operated Railway Sidings on Bittern Way. Railway Sidings costs £6.20 for up to 13 hours at weekends. Railworld has not published a current football-parking price, so check the entrance information.
Allow four to five hours for parking, the walk, the match and getting away. Rivergate's ASDA surface car park has a four-hour maximum, and football-use permission was not confirmed. Its multi-storey advertises free weekend parking, but matchday permission and later access also need checking. For bigger fixtures, use your chosen paid backup rather than circling residential roads close to kick-off.
- Parking verdict
- Free council parking is realistic for weekday evening fixtures after 3pm; otherwise use authorised pay-on-day match parking. No named free on-street bay is verified.
- Free option — area
- Pleasure Fair Meadow, Oundle Road, PE2 9PB: free after 3pm Monday–Friday (scheme 3 August 2026–31 March 2028), not free during normal weekend charging hours.
- Legal restrictions — area
- Resident permit bays exist in Zone R (Glebe Road, Fairfield Road, Fletton Avenue, London Road) and Zone N (Oundle Road numbers 29–83); individual bays have their own displayed conditions.
- Matchday availability — area
- Pleasure Fair Meadow is an unreserved 316-space council car park; supporter anecdote suggests it may be affected when a fair uses the area, not proof of a live closure.
- Walk — area
- Pleasure Fair Meadow to stadium approaches about five minutes; allow additional time for away turnstiles.
- Arrive by — area
- Aim to park 60–90 minutes before kick-off; advisory buffer, not a measured availability guarantee.
- Paid fallback
- Pleasure Fair Meadow weekend £6.20 up to 24 hours; Railworld authorised match parking pay on arrival at unconfirmed match tariff; Railway Sidings weekends £6.20 up to 13 hours.
- Booking recommendation
- Advance booking is not a normal requirement for council pay-and-display parking; choose the named site and arrive early, with a second authorised car park in mind.
- Supermarket permission/time limit
- Rivergate ASDA surface car park: free for maximum four hours, stadium parking permission not established. Rivergate multi-storey: advertises free Saturdays/Sundays but stadium-use permission and out-of-hours exit remain unconfirmed.
- Total dwell time
- Plan four to five hours including pre-match arrival, walking both ways, 90 minutes plus half-time/stoppages and post-match departure; illustrative planning allowance.
- After the match
- Pleasure Fair Meadow is beside the stadium and Town Bridge; allow for departing traffic. A farther authorised parking site may involve a longer walk but should not be assumed quicker without live conditions.
- Pleasure Fair Meadow weekday tariff
- Monday–Friday 7am–3pm charges: up to 1h £2.60, 2h £4.10, 24h £6.20; free after 3pm until next chargeable period.

Trains
Rail, Underground & tram
Peterborough railway station is the best arrival point. Walk to Weston Homes Stadium in around 15–20 minutes, crossing towards the River Nene and London Road. It is a manageable town-centre walk, so you normally do not need a taxi.
Leave the station towards Bourges Boulevard, use the pedestrian underpass by the large roundabout and continue past ASDA. Turn towards Town Bridge at the traffic lights, cross the river and follow the stadium signs. Peterborough station has step-free access to all platforms, but that does not establish a fully step-free walking route to your seat.
For a tight return connection, check your train before kick-off and allow time for the crowds on Town Bridge.
- Best mainline station
- Peterborough (PBO), Station Road, PE1 1QL
- Walk from Peterborough station
- Approximately 15–20 minutes to the stadium; visiting entrance may need additional time.
- Walking route
- Bourges Boulevard; roundabout pedestrian underpass; past ASDA; Town Bridge; London Road stadium.
- Station step-free
- Step-free category A to all railway platforms; lifts and staff assistance available.
- Station works, October 2026
- Queensgate roundabout reduced to one lane from 6 July 2026; 111 main-car-park spaces closed from 15 June as part of Station Quarter works.
- Nene Valley Railway
- Nearby heritage railway is not the recommended National Rail matchday arrival.
Station to ground & away entrance
For most league fixtures, visiting supporters enter the away allocation in the Kings Power Solutions Stand. Follow the away-supporter signs and the turnstile information printed on your ticket rather than heading to a home entrance.
From Peterborough station or the city centre, cross Town Bridge and approach the ground from London Road. From Pleasure Fair Meadow or Railworld, follow the marked pedestrian route towards the stadium, then continue round to your allocated entrance.
Large away followings may also receive seats in the GH Display Stand. Peterborough has confirmed that this arrangement changes with demand, so your fixture ticket is the final guide to the correct turnstiles.
- Usual visiting stand
- Away section of the Kings Power Solutions Stand.
- Possible additional away allocation
- GH Display Stand may be used for larger visiting followings; check match ticket.
- Walk from Pleasure Fair Meadow
- Around five minutes to stadium approaches via nearby pedestrian route; exact away gate adds time.

Coaches
Away coaches
Visiting coaches should use the designated matchday coach parking at Pleasure Fair Meadow, opposite the stadium on Oundle Road. Peterborough City Council lists a £26 charge for football coaches on United home-match days.
The club also identifies the Railworld area as an option for coach operators. Arrange the exact arrival, unloading and collection position with your coach organiser before travelling, rather than assuming the vehicle can pull up at the away turnstiles.
From the Oundle Road parking area, supporters reach the stadium on foot using the pedestrian route. Stay with your organiser's instructions after full-time because the final collection point may depend on the fixture and local traffic management.
- Council football-coach parking
- Pleasure Fair Meadow, Oundle Road, matchday football coaches.
- Football coach tariff

- Other named coach option
- Railworld parking is also mentioned in Peterborough United visiting information; operator terms unconfirmed.
- Walk from coach parking
- Around five minutes to stadium perimeter; exact away entrance may be farther.

Buses
Buses & local travel
The walk from Peterborough station is usually easier than taking a bus, but buses are available if you prefer not to cover the distance on foot. Peterborough United lists routes 1, 3, 5, 5A, 6, 31 and 33 as services you can use to reach the ground.
Queensgate Bus Station is close to the railway station and city centre. Check the current operator journey planner for the correct boarding stop and direction, then use a London Road stop convenient for your allocated entrance.
After the match, check where your return bus actually stops before leaving the ground. Do not assume every service on the club's general list runs at the same frequency late on a weekday evening.
- Listed services
- Bus routes 1, 3, 5, 5A, 6, 31 and 33 can be used for the stadium area.
- City-centre interchange
- Queensgate Bus Station, convenient for Peterborough railway station.
- Rail-station alternative
- Taxis available at Peterborough railway station.
Accessibility
Accessible journeys
Book accessible matchday parking through Peterborough United before travelling rather than relying on an unreserved stadium space. The club has a limited number of Blue Badge spaces for home and away supporters, priced at £10 and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Call the ticket office on 01733 865674.
The club also identifies accessible drop-off points and Blue Badge parking at Pleasure Fair Meadow, where the council's normal car-park tariff applies. Peterborough railway station has step-free access to all platforms, but you should confirm the route and facilities for your particular stand.
For wheelchair seating, hearing or visual assistance and other requirements, contact the club's accessibility team before buying your away allocation. Stewards can help with designated facilities on the day.

After the match
After the match
If you parked at Pleasure Fair Meadow, expect the surrounding London Road and Town Bridge approaches to be busy after full-time. Walk back using the pedestrian route you used on arrival and allow extra time before joining outbound traffic.
For a train, return over Town Bridge, pass the city-centre ASDA area and use the pedestrian underpass towards Peterborough station. Do not book a tight connection on the assumption that you can leave your seat, cross the bridge and board immediately.
If a coach is collecting you, follow the organiser's confirmed meeting point at Pleasure Fair Meadow or Railworld. Any temporary traffic arrangements or a changed away allocation can affect where the group meets.
- Rail return route
- Town Bridge, ASDA area, pedestrian underpass, Peterborough station.
- Peak post-match departure risk
- Road traffic near Town Bridge and London Road may delay exit; no validated queue duration.
- Preferred backup on car park full
- Use authorised Railworld or council Railway Sidings, not resident-only bays.
- Return train buffer
- Allow additional time for the 15–20-minute walk plus crowd dispersal; editorial planning guidance.
Where to stay
Stay around Peterborough railway station, Rivergate or Cathedral Square if you want to make a night of the football. These areas keep the mainline station, city-centre pubs and restaurants within walking distance, while the ground is an easy walk across Town Bridge.
The Rivergate end of the centre is particularly handy if getting to the stadium matters most. A hotel closer to Queensgate or the railway station is a better fit for an early train the following morning.
There is little need to stay beside London Road unless you prioritise the shortest possible walk to the match. Compare live room prices on your exact fixture date rather than assuming a standard Saturday rate.
- Recommended base
- Peterborough city centre: Rivergate/Cathedral Square or near railway station.
- Football journey from central base
- Ground is within walking distance over Town Bridge, with railway station about 15–20 minutes away.
- Example centrally located hotel
- Premier Inn Peterborough City Centre, Rivergate, PE1 1EN.

Peterborough is an easy rail away day if you leave time for the last stretch: meet near Peterborough station at Drapers on Cowgate, then head through the centre towards Town Bridge and London Road. Allow around 15–20 minutes to the Weston Homes Stadium, longer with a pub stop. Charters, the Dutch barge beside the bridge, is the established away gathering place; it gets busy, and occasional early openings are fixture-specific. The Peacock across London Road is another documented mixed-fans choice. Woodston has better traditional ale pubs but takes you away from the main station route, and the Palmerston usually does not open until 2pm on Saturdays. For food, the Shed at Fletton Quays, East above Charters and the riverside pizza kitchen make strong alternatives to a rushed concourse pie; Fletton Fish & Chips requires an early lunch visit. The stadium has separate away catering and usually a mixed fanzone, but allocations, admission and queues can vary. Staying overnight? Choose the station/Cowgate area for rail or Fletton Avenue for the ground.

Food & quick bites
Where to grab a bite, have a proper meal or try the local matchday favourite.
The Shed Taproom & Deli
A strong independent alternative to stadium catering, set in a converted railway engine shed. Grab an Italian deli sandwich or pizza and a drink before crossing towards London Road.
East Restaurant (aboard Charters)
One of the more distinctive proper meals on this away day: Pan-Asian cooking upstairs on the moored Dutch barge. Ideal for a planned lunch before the short walk to the away entrance.
Tap & Tandoor Peterborough
For a full pre-match meal with craft beer, the Indian gastropub near Queensgate is a better choice than rushing to a concession. Naan sliders and mixed grills suit groups sharing food.
The Brewery Tap (Thai kitchen)
An independent brewpub and Thai kitchen that works especially well if you are arriving early by train or staying overnight. Make time for a proper meal before walking to Town Bridge.
Charters Riverside Pizza Kitchen
If you want a quick bite alongside the pre-match pint, Charters has a separate riverside pizza operation on weekends. More practical for casual groups than reserving a restaurant upstairs.
Posh Kitchen – away concourse concessions
The simplest choice if you arrive close to kick-off is a pie or Posh Dog from the visiting-section kiosk. The club has refreshed its catering and publishes an actual price list.
Fletton Fish & Chips
A genuine chippy rather than another groundside chain. Useful for supporters coming through Fletton who want cod and chips or a sharing box before heading to the ground.
Away supporters fanzone kiosks
A useful groundside food stop without needing to cross into the mixed main-stand fan area. Peterborough’s current guide confirms separate catering provision for away supporters.
