Your route into Stadium MK
Away supporters normally use the North Stand, with Gate 3 the main arrival point. If you are driving or arriving on a coach, follow the football signs towards the Saxon Street entrance between KFC and McDonald’s, then look for the away signs rather than joining the home entrance queue. Your ticket decides which level and turnstile to use, because away sections can change between fixtures. The away ticket booth is near Gate 3, but buy in advance where possible and check whether sales are offered at your match.
Supporter Match Guide: Reading (H) ↗Parking & park-and-ride
Book stadium parking if you want the shortest walk and a confirmed place. MK Dons has limited on-site spaces, and paying on arrival is first come, first served. The club charged £10 on the day for its October Reading match, but event prices can change. Free parking is possible in surrounding industrial estates, although we could not confirm a specific unrestricted stretch suitable for a full match. Reports mention Granby, Denbigh West and Mount Farm, but Dawson Road has employee-permit bays. Do not assume an empty roadside space is legal, particularly beside working businesses. For a cheaper, dependable alternative, use the Saba car park at Bletchley Station on Sherwood Drive. It currently costs £5.50 on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, with about a 30-minute walk to the stadium. It is open around the clock, though spaces still depend on arrival demand. You can also book a properly authorised private driveway if one is offered for your date. Avoid ASDA, IKEA, Fitness First and MK1 shopping car parks: the club says those are for customers only and restrictions are enforced. A supermarket purchase does not give permission to leave your car for football. Aim to arrive at least 75–90 minutes before kick-off if you are driving without a reserved stadium place. Allow five hours for parking, walking, the match and getting back to your car. Saturday, Sunday and bank-holiday prices differ at Bletchley Station, while evening fixtures need a check of parking conditions and return transport.
Supporter Match Guide: Reading (H) ↗Choose your base before your hotel
Stay at the DoubleTree built into Stadium MK if being beside the turnstiles matters more than an evening out. It is the simplest option for an early arrival or a long journey, but hotel guests still have to follow the stadium’s separate parking instructions and charges.

- Parking verdict
- Booking is advisable for a short walk and certainty; industrial-estate free parking is reported but no individual section was safely confirmed as unrestricted.

- Club says limited industrial-area on-street parking exists; fans cite Denbigh West, Granby and Mount Farm, without section-by-section legal verification.
- Legal restrictions — Dawson Road
- Council publishes employee-permit zone E31 guidance; do not assume Dawson Road employee bays are unrestricted on a matchday.
- Legal restrictions — West Bletchley
- 2026 resident scheme was at consultation stage; it does not establish legal freedom to park on every residential street.

Where to stay
Stay at the DoubleTree built into Stadium MK if being beside the turnstiles matters more than an evening out. It is the simplest option for an early arrival or a long journey, but hotel guests still have to follow the stadium’s separate parking instructions and charges. Bletchley is a practical alternative if you want to use the mainline station and keep your journey simple, with a roughly half-hour walk to the ground. For wider hotels, food and nightlife, stay around Milton Keynes Central instead and use the stadium bus or a taxi on matchday. An overnight stay is worthwhile for a late kick-off if your last safe train home leaves too little margin after the match. Otherwise, there is no need to stay near the ground for an ordinary afternoon fixture.
