Your route into EV Charger Points Stadium
Go to the Hazlewoods Stand on Whaddon Road. The away entrance is tucked between the bowling club and a house, rather than at the stadium's main car-park gate. Look for the away signs and red ticket booth, and check your own ticket for any changed allocation. If you walk from the centre, follow Winchcombe Street into Prestbury Road, then turn right onto Whaddon Road. The club estimates 20–30 minutes from central Cheltenham. From a Parklands parking space, make sure you walk around to the Whaddon Road away entrance rather than entering by the home stands on Wyman's Road.
EV Charger Points Stadium: official visitor guide (earlier issue) ↗Parking & park-and-ride
Book a stadium space if one is offered for your fixture, or head to a designated car park. Free street parking is possible farther out, but it is not a dependable plan around Whaddon Road. The club warns against relying on nearby residential streets, and matchday restrictions are enforced. Parklands Community Centre, accessed from Wyman's Road, is the closest practical fallback. It advertises 120 spaces and accepts home and away supporters on a first-come, first-served basis. Its published prices are old, so check the current cash-only charge before travelling. You must walk around to the away entrance on Whaddon Road. Gloucestershire County Council has removed resident-permit controls from Eldon Road, Eldon Avenue and several other streets. However, it also has event-day controls near Pittville Circus Road. No particular side or bay has been confirmed as unrestricted for a whole match, so do not rely on those roads as guaranteed free parking. For predictable paid parking, try Pittville Pump Room, which costs £6 for more than three hours, or NCP Portland Street East, around 10–15 minutes from the stadium according to the club. Private driveways on Hayes Road, Cromwell Road and Overbrook Drive are also bookable through JustPark, subject to availability. On Sundays, Bath Terrace council car park is free and allows an all-day stay, though the walk is longer. Allow at least four hours for a match, including both walks, getting in and the journey back to your car. Do not use Sainsbury's or Tesco customer parking without explicit permission and enough permitted time.

For Parklands, follow the operator's Wyman's Road approach; for a town-centre car park, avoid driving into the ground's residential streets first.
If you approach using M5 junction 10, check its directional access before setting off. Gloucestershire County Council's improvements project is changing that junction, and any temporary works or diversions may affect your chosen route. Leave extra time for local traffic around Prestbury Road and Whaddon Road on matchdays.

Where to stay
Stay near the Brewery Quarter or the northern edge of Cheltenham town centre for the best balance of football and an evening out. You can eat or drink in town and walk towards the ground along Winchcombe Street and Prestbury Road. The station is some distance away, so plan the luggage journey if arriving by rail. Pittville suits supporters who care more about being close to Whaddon Road than about central nightlife. The quieter residential setting makes the match walk simpler, but conventional hotel choice near the ground is more limited. If you want the Promenade or Montpellier for an evening out, accept a longer trip back from the stadium.
EV Charger Points Stadium: official visitor guide (earlier issue) ↗For the best all-round football weekend, the north side of the town centre around the Brewery Quarter is the strongest compromise: it keeps the ground realistically walkable while putting food and drinks on the doorstep. Pittville is better if the shortest possible walk to Whaddon Road matters most. The Promenade/Montpellier side is better if the evening after the match matters more than the walk to the ground.
For the evening
The Brewery Quarter is the easiest concentrated food/drink/entertainment cluster for a football trip, while the Promenade and Montpellier give a broader restaurant and bar choice in a more established central evening district. Both are stronger post-match bases than the streets immediately around Whaddon Road.
For the train
Cheltenham Spa station is south-west of the centre rather than beside the ground. Staying by the station alone is not the best matchday compromise: central hotels give a better evening base, with the Queens particularly convenient for walking from the station. For the Brewery Quarter or Pittville hotels, a taxi or local bus is more practical with luggage.
