The Gantry London, Curio Collection by Hilton
Stratford / East Village
The Gantry is the best all-round match hotel in this research: close enough to make London Stadium a straightforward walk, much more comfortable and full-service than the stadium-adjacent budget choices, and well placed for Stratford station, Westfield and Hackney Wick.
- Stratford location keeps the football trip simple without isolating supporters at the stadium.
- Hilton confirms three restaurants, lounges and a rooftop bar, so there is a credible fallback for food or a drink without another journey.
Straight-line stadium-to-hotel distance is about 0.65 miles from published coordinates; pedestrian routing through the Olympic Park is longer. Allow roughly 15 minutes in normal conditions and extra time when event crowd-routing is in force.
It sits in the upper-mid/premium part of the Stratford market and some midweek dates are expensive.
Compare live rates and room options for your dates.
Snoozebox Olympic Park
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park / Pudding Mill Lane
Snoozebox is the closest practical football choice because it is genuinely inside the Olympic Park, beside Pudding Mill Lane DLR and described by the operator as right next to London Stadium. The bargain is space and finish: these are compact modular rooms built for short stays, not a conventional full-service hotel.
- Official location material describes it as right next to London Stadium and a short stroll from the ground.
- Pudding Mill Lane DLR is roughly one to two minutes away and Stratford is one stop.
The straight-line distance from published coordinates is about 0.35 miles. Snoozebox itself calls the property 'right next to' London Stadium and a short stroll away. A fixed walking-minute claim is avoided because event-day pedestrian routing around the stadium can change.
Rooms are deliberately compact and the standard layout includes a double bed plus single bunk.
Compare live rates and room options for your dates.
The Hoxton, Shoreditch
Shoreditch / Hoxton
For supporters who want the night after the match to be part of the trip, The Hoxton is a stronger base than a stadium-area hotel. It sits in the middle of Shoreditch's bar and restaurant scene, has lively food/drink spaces of its own, and current review evidence is strong.
- Shoreditch/Hoxton has a much deeper concentration of bars, restaurants and late-night venues than the immediate stadium area.
- The hotel itself is designed around social space, food and drink, so it works even if plans stay close to the room.
Straight-line distance is about 3 miles. Treat this as a rail-based nightlife choice, not a walking hotel: travel from Stratford towards Liverpool Street/central east London, then continue to the hotel on foot.
Not walkable in practical matchday terms from London Stadium.

Parking
Driving & road restrictions
Drive to a public car park in Stratford, not to London Stadium itself. Westfield Stratford City and Newham’s Stratford Multi-Storey have published entry arrangements, while the stadium has no ordinary supporter parking.
For Westfield, follow the route for your chosen car park: the operator recommends the A12 for Car Park A and the A112 via Penny Brookes Street for Car Park C. Car Park B has restricted matchday access, so do not simply follow a sat-nav route to the stadium.
Closures normally start three hours before kick-off and can continue for around two hours afterwards. They affect streets including Marshgate Lane, Carpenters Road, Pool Street, Sidings Street and parts of Westfield Avenue or Montfichet Road. Check the day’s signs before setting off.

- Access recommended via A112, Penny Brookes Street and Montfichet Road
- Westfield Car Park B approach
- Limited access on West Ham matchdays
- Closure period

Parking & park-and-ride
Do not plan on free on-street parking for a West Ham match. Stratford’s event-day permit zones run until 9pm, and Hackney extends controls around the Olympic Park. You might find a legal paid bay, but an unrestricted street within an easy walk of the away turnstiles could not be established.
Westfield Stratford City is the simplest parking choice for most drivers. It has three public car parks open around the clock, and the club directs visiting motorists there. Allow a walk through the Olympic Park towards Bridge 4 rather than assuming the nearest stadium entrance is the away entrance.
For a four-to-six-hour visit, Westfield currently lists £9.50 on weekdays or £11.50 at weekends and bank holidays. Arrive early: spaces can fill, temporary entry closures apply, and older supporter accounts describe lengthy queues when leaving after full-time.
Newham’s Stratford Multi-Storey off Great Eastern Road is a sensible paid fallback with 430 spaces and a published £15 event-day rate. It stays open 24 hours, but adds a longer walk through Stratford. Neither car park promises an instant departure after the match.
Allow around five or six hours from parking to leaving, especially if you want food before kick-off. Do not leave a car at the Aquatics Centre, Copper Box or another venue-only car park unless you are actually using that venue. Ordinary supermarket parking has no verified football-use permission or long-stay terms.

- Paid parking recommended; no verified legally unrestricted on-street alternative within a practical stadium walk
- Legal restrictions — Newham
- Event-day RPZ controls 08:00–21:00 in Stratford Central, North West, South West, South East and West Ham; use valid permit or designated paid shared-use bay
- Legal restrictions — Hackney Wick
- Hackney event-day controls extend weekday restrictions to 20:30 and apply 12:00–18:00 on weekends and bank holidays in QEOP event zones; normal hours still apply as relevant

- Paid fallback — ordinary tariff not event day
- £8 for over six hours up to 24 hours at Newham Stratford Multi-Storey on non-event days; event tariff supersedes

- Approximately 20–30 minutes via Olympic Park and Bridge 4; depends on crowd routing; an estimate, not an exact measured path
- Walk — Stratford Multi-Storey to away entrance
- Approximately 25–35 minutes via Stratford and Olympic Park; estimate, not verified gate-specific routing
- Arrive by — before kick-off
- Plan to reach stadium searches at least 60 minutes before kick-off; leave extra time for parking and walk
- Booking recommendation
- Westfield accepts paying on arrival; space is subject to capacity. No evidence of guaranteed reserved bay
- Venue car parks not for football
- Aquatics Centre, Copper Box and Lee Valley VeloPark parking are for venue users only; VeloPark has up to 3 hours for facility users
- Total dwell time
- Allow approximately 5–6 hours for parking, walks, early stadium entry, match and exit; estimate not a parking entitlement
- After the match
- Crowd-controlled walking routes and road closures can slow exit; London Stadium warns stadium-area route to Stratford can take up to 80 minutes post-event
- Parking bay enforcement
- Newham warns of PCNs and possible towing for non-compliant vehicles

Matchday advice: Do not plan on free on-street parking for a West Ham match. Stratford’s event-day permit zones run until 9pm, and Hackney extends controls around the Olympic Park.
Trains
Rail, Underground & tram
Use Stratford if you are arriving by mainline train, Tube or Elizabeth line. It has the widest choice of connections, but allow around 20 minutes to reach London Stadium and longer when stewards manage the crowds.
For the away end, Pudding Mill Lane on the DLR is the neater final stop. Follow the signed route towards Bridge 4 and Turnstile D, about a ten-minute walk from the station. The DLR also makes it a useful alternative to returning through busy Stratford.
Stratford International is another practical arrival point, particularly from St Pancras, with roughly a 20-minute stadium walk. Hackney Wick serves Overground travellers, but its usual route uses Bridge 3, so check the stewarded route to the visiting entrance.
- Main rail interchange
- Stratford: Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth line, DLR, Overground and National Rail; about 20 minutes to stadium
- Best final station for visiting entrance
- Pudding Mill Lane DLR; stadium walk approximately 10 minutes via Bridge 4
- Alternative station
- Stratford International: DLR and Southeastern; approximately 20 minutes to stadium
- Hackney Wick approach
- London Overground, approximately 20 minutes to stadium; signed route normally approaches Bridge 3, away entrance is Bridge 4
- Stratford High Street
- DLR station; approximately 20 minutes to stadium; Bridge 5 is usual stadium route
- West Ham station caution
- West Ham United advises avoiding West Ham station because of matchday crowding; prefer direct connections to Stratford
Station to ground & away entrance
Go to Turnstile D for the visiting section, using Bridge 4 on the south side of London Stadium. Pudding Mill Lane is the most straightforward station for this entrance; from Stratford, follow the matchday signs rather than an ordinary walking-map shortcut.
Bridge security checks happen before you reach the turnstiles, so aim to be at the stadium at least an hour before kick-off. There is a dedicated visiting-supporter information point opposite Turnstile D, and your ticket remains the final authority for your entrance.
For the return, stewards may hold or divert pedestrians to keep the two sets of supporters apart. Do not assume you can retrace the same path towards Westfield immediately after the match.
- Visiting entrance
- Turnstile D, Sir Trevor Brooking Stand visiting section
- Bridge to away turnstile
- Bridge 4; accessible security lane and lift-accessible approach
- Pre-entry checks
- Search on all five bridges; club recommends arriving at least 60 minutes before kick-off
- Away information point
- Visiting supporters liaison point outside Turnstile D (documented in visiting-club guidance)
- Ticket entrance rule
- Use the turnstile printed on your ticket; it will not work at another turnstile

Coaches
Away coaches
If you are on your visiting club’s official coach, use its confirmed drop-off and collection instructions rather than a general stadium postcode. West Ham requires the visiting club to register its coaches at least three days before the match and arranges parking through its supporter liaison team.
Older visiting-club guides describe a coach park by the Pudding Mill Lane approach, with a stewarded return from Bridge 4. That is useful orientation, but it does not establish where your particular coach will wait for the next fixture.
Independent coaches cannot assume they can park at London Stadium. Westfield Stratford City advertises a separate ten-space coach facility requiring advance booking; confirm access, passenger set-down and collection directly with the operator.
- Official coach arrangements
- Visiting club must submit coach information at least three days before fixture; contact supporterservices@westhamunited.co.uk

Buses
Buses & local travel
For most supporters, take a train or DLR service to Stratford or Pudding Mill Lane rather than a bus right up to the stadium. Stratford Bus Station and Stratford City Bus Station serve numerous routes, but matchday closures can change the final stop or walking approach.
Buses 388, 308, 339 and 108 serve parts of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park or its edges. Check the live TfL journey planner before travelling, particularly for evening kick-offs when normal traffic and the football crowd overlap.
West Ham also runs a complimentary accessible shuttle from Stratford and Stratford International for supporters with access needs. It requires an advance permit from the club and is not a general matchday shuttle.
- Major bus interchange
- Stratford Bus Station and Stratford City Bus Station, near Stratford railway station
- Olympic Park routes
- 388, 308, 339 and 108 serve parts of Olympic Park or surrounding stops; live route checks needed
- Accessible shuttle
- Complimentary West Ham matchday shuttle for registered supporters with accessibility requirements, subject to advance permit and space
- Accessible shuttle departure time
- Starts two hours before kick-off
- Accessible shuttle Stratford boarding
- Entrance to Jubilee line Platform 13, near Petit Pret
- Accessible shuttle Stratford International boarding
- International Way opposite station, near bus stop 108
Accessibility
Accessible journeys
Arrange accessible parking or the club’s shuttle before travelling, rather than relying on an ordinary car park near the stadium. West Ham allocates a small number of Blue Badge spaces to visiting supporters; the club’s accessibility team handles requests.
The complimentary accessible shuttle runs from Stratford’s Jubilee line Platform 13 entrance and Stratford International’s International Way bus station. It begins two hours before kick-off, drops supporters at the Stadium Store café and requires a permit; this is not the visiting turnstile itself.
Bridge 4 has an accessible search lane, and Turnstile D has an accessible entrance. Return shuttles can only start once road closures ease, generally around half an hour after full-time. Confirm the precise Blue Badge parking entrance with the club because official site descriptions disagree about its position.
- Visiting Blue Badge allocation
- Six spaces allocated to Blue Badge holders from visiting team at each match; contact accessibility@westhamunited.co.uk
- Total Blue Badge stadium allocation
- 49 West Ham Blue Badge spaces listed per home match
- Away accessible entry
- Turnstile D via Bridge 4; dedicated accessible search lane, accessible stadium entrance
- Shuttle entitlement
- Complimentary, for supporters with accessibility requirements holding advance permit, subject to spaces
- Shuttle Stratford stop
- By Jubilee line Platform 13 entrance, near Petit Pret
- Shuttle Stratford International stop
- International Way, bus station opposite Stratford International Station
- Shuttle stadium drop-off
- Stadium Store café on lower ground; nearest turnstile F; use lifts 12 or 13 to concourse
- Shuttle after match
- Up to 90 minutes after match, starts after road reopens, normally approximately 30 minutes after final whistle
- Accessible parking contact
- accessibility@westhamunited.co.uk or 0333 030 0174
- Station step-free
- West Ham documents step-free platforms at Stratford, Stratford International and Pudding Mill Lane; check status for the day
- Westfield Blue Badge free parking
- Not free under general published car park rules; standard charges apply
After the match
After the match
Expect a managed walk away from Turnstile D rather than an unrestricted route back through the Olympic Park. Stewards separate visiting and home supporters, and the usual short path to Stratford may become a much longer diversion after the whistle.
If your return is on the DLR, follow signs for Pudding Mill Lane where permitted. If you need Stratford or Stratford International for your train, leave a generous connection margin: London Stadium warns that the pedestrian route to Stratford can take up to 80 minutes after major events.
Driving does not guarantee a quick getaway. Westfield’s car parks stay open, but surrounding closures and pedestrian flows can delay departure. Accessible shuttle users should expect buses to wait until the roads reopen.
- Away supporters segregation
- Turnstile D podium exit may be segregated; area C–E restricted and directed by stewards
- Stratford return warning
- London Stadium warns that the post-event pedestrian route to Stratford Regional Station may take up to 80 minutes
- DLR alternative
- Pudding Mill Lane is approximately ten minutes from stadium via Bridge 4 under ordinary routing; follow post-match steward instructions
- Driver departure
- Westfield parking remains open, but matchday road controls may affect exit until approximately two hours after final whistle
- Accessibility return shuttle
- Departure after road reopening normally around 30 minutes after full-time, up to 90-minute return operating window
Where to stay
Stay in Stratford if the match is the main reason for your trip. Hotels around Stratford Station or Westfield put you within a walk of London Stadium and leave several rail and Tube routes available after full-time.
Stratford International is a useful alternative for anyone arriving from St Pancras or preferring to park at the northern side of Stratford. Allow for a lengthy return walk after the match, particularly if your hotel sits beyond the station.
Hackney Wick suits an evening around the Olympic Park’s western edge, but its usual Bridge 3 stadium approach is not the designated visiting entrance. Choose a central London base only if the wider evening matters enough to justify travelling back across the city.
- Best overall stay area
- Stratford Station / Westfield vicinity for walkable stadium approach and multiple rail connections
- Alternative stay area
- Stratford International / Olympic Park edge, roughly 20-minute stadium walk
- Hackney Wick trade-off
- Overground access, about 20-minute stadium walk, standard route through Bridge 3 rather than visitors Bridge 4

West Ham is an away day where the sensible pub is often before Stratford, not beside the stadium. Visiting supporters use Turnstile D in the Sir Trevor Brooking Stand and are encouraged over Bridge 4; Stratford is about a 20-minute walk, while Hackney Wick is also about 20 minutes and has the better food cluster. If your rail route comes through Liverpool Street, Hamilton Hall remains the best-supported traditional away meeting point. In Stratford, Abbey Tap has current evidence of mixed home-and-away use, while Bat & Ball was reported usable by away fans without colours; neither publishes a blanket football policy. Hackney Wick is stronger for food and craft beer: Howling Hops, Beer Merchants Tap, Barge East, Hackney Bridge and Wicked Fish are all current. The old Sportsman away-pub recommendation is now stale because it closed in September 2026, and Riverside East is explicitly West Ham-only. London Stadium is cashless, post-match segregation is dynamic, and high-risk fixtures can change pub and walking arrangements.

London Stadium concourse food and drink
For visiting supporters who do not want to gamble on pub admission, the stadium itself is the most reliable fallback. West Ham's visiting-supporter guide confirms food and drink outlets inside the stadium and a dedicated away-supporter entrance and section.
Riverside East West Ham Fanzone
Riverside East runs a dedicated West Ham matchday fan zone beside London Stadium with street food, beer and a family-friendly setup. Its own current guidance is explicit that the fan zone is for West Ham supporters only and that a match ticket is required.
Wicked Fish - Hackney Wick
The strongest straightforward food stop in Queens Yard. Wicked Fish is seconds from Hackney Wick station and serves fresh haddock in gluten-free beer batter, chips and a broader seafood menu; it is regularly listed in West Ham matchday food guidance.
Hackney Bridge
Hackney Bridge is a useful food-first alternative to a conventional pub. Its current site lists a range of food traders and bars, while recent football guides include it in the Hackney Wick matchday cluster. A 2026 pub-community report found plenty of West Ham supporters there on a home-match morning.
Barge East
The sit-down meal choice in Hackney Wick.
Hackney Bridge Kitchens
Best for groups who cannot agree on food. Hackney Bridge currently houses multiple street-food traders, and West Ham supporters describe it as a regular matchday meeting place; it sits in the Hackney Wick route rather than Westfield.
The Rib Man
A famous Hackney Wick matchday food lead, but one that now needs checking. Visit London and WHUST still place The Rib Man outside the station for West Ham games; his own current location page only lists Brick Lane Sundays.
