What this club is really about
Barnet were established amateur and non-league contenders long before they reached the EFL. Since then, promotion, relegation and return have become familiar experiences. Supporters' stories range from Underhill's steep slope and Barry Fry's turbulent early League years to Jimmy Greaves in the Southern League and Edgar Davids wearing number one. Promotion-winning sides have often outgrown expectations suggested by the gates. Today, the club's home remains a central issue: Barnet still identify with Barnet town while playing at The Hive in Harrow.
