BEFORE YOU SET OFF

Put your trip together

01 · Arrive

Your route into Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium

If you arrive by train, follow the marked route from Bescot Stadium station towards Bescot Crescent. The away end is the B.A.T Stand behind the goal, so the walk is short once you have crossed from the station side. Drivers should aim for Bescot Crescent, WS1 4SA, rather than the middle of Walsall. Independent away-end guidance places the visiting turnstiles on the Bescot Crescent side; check the stand and turnstile printed on your ticket because additional visiting seats may be allocated elsewhere. Give yourself extra time if you are joining a large away following. Accessible visiting supporters may be seated in the side stand rather than the normal away terrace-style section, so confirm the relevant gate with the club in advance.

WHERE TO STAY

Where should you stay?

Compare the ground, station and town-centre hotel options for your trip.

Where to stay

For an overnight stay centred on the match, Park Inn by Radisson Birmingham Walsall is the easiest walk-to-ground option. The hotel sits beside Bescot Crescent and Bescot Stadium station, keeping the return short after an evening game. It is better for match convenience than a varied night out. Walsall town centre is the better local base if you want shops, restaurants and pubs after the football. The stadium is around a 30-minute walk from the centre according to Transport for West Midlands, or you can use a bus or train. Birmingham city centre also works for supporters using rail: Bescot Stadium has a connection through Birmingham New Street. Check the last service after evening matches rather than assume you can leave the ground and catch a train without waiting.

How to get to Bescot Stadium Walsall ↗

For the strongest all-round Walsall hotel proposition, Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - Walsall is the safer quality/value choice if you are happy to use a taxi or car for the stadium. If walking to the turnstiles matters most, Park Inn by Radisson is the practical outlier because it sits beside the ground and Bescot Stadium station. If the evening is as important as the football, Birmingham city centre works because trains run directly between New Street and Bescot Stadium.

For the evening

Walsall town centre has a usable cluster of pubs and bars around Leicester Street, Darwall Street, Lichfield Street and the station/bus-station side of the centre. For a substantially wider late-evening choice, Birmingham city centre is stronger, with John Bright Street/Southside close to New Street and Broad Street/Brindleyplace roughly a further ten-minute walk.

For the train

Bescot Stadium station is about a two-minute walk from the stadium and has direct services from Birmingham New Street and Walsall. Park Inn is beside Bescot station; Premier Inn Walsall Town Centre is about 0.2 miles from Walsall station; easyHotel Birmingham City Centre is about a three-minute walk from New Street.
