BEFORE YOU SET OFF

Put your trip together

01 · Arrive

Your route into MATRADE Loftus Road

Head for Ellerslie Road and turnstile 2 if your ticket is for the usual upper-tier away section in the School End. From White City, use Wood Lane and South Africa Road to approach the stadium, then follow the stewards round to Ellerslie Road. QPR sometimes opens the lower School End when visiting allocations are larger. In that case, its stadium guide also identifies turnstile 3 on South Africa Road, so use the entrance stated on your ticket rather than assuming all visiting fans take the same turnstile. The Wood Lane Estate shortcut opposite White City station is gated for residents on matchdays. Keep to the public streets and allow extra time to navigate the short, busy roads immediately around the ground.

02 · Before the match

Belushi's Shepherd's Bush

20-minute walk to the ground. Burgers, wings, pizzas and sharing food; current offers include a £12 burger-and-chips deal and bottomless wings sessions. Capacity can be tested by large followings. Away admission is clear, but a current published colours rule was not found; higher-risk fixtures can still bring police-led restrictions.

03 · Stay or head home?

Choose your base before your hotel

Stay in Shepherd's Bush or White City for a football-first visit. Both put you close to the ground, with Tube stations, food and the Westfield shopping area nearby, so you can walk to the match without arranging a taxi or worrying about the stadium streets closing.

Pub food

Belushi's Shepherd's Bush

20 min walk

Good for away supporters wanting certainty · Shepherd's Bush arrivals

The safest default away pub in W12. QPR and visiting-club guides repeatedly designate Belushi’s for visiting supporters, and it sits directly opposite Shepherd’s Bush station with food and big-screen sport.

Expect designated away bar · sports screens · large groups

Before you go Capacity can be tested by large followings. Away admission is clear, but a current published colours rule was not found; higher-risk fixtures can still bring police-led restrictions.

Pub food

The Sindercombe Social

15 min walk

Good for second away-pub option · groups wanting food

The strongest alternative to Belushi’s. Visiting-supporter and police-linked guidance has recognised Sindercombe Social as an away venue, while the current pub still offers food, live sport and plenty of space.

Expect recognised away venue · live sport · large pub

Before you go Walking estimates vary and a current colours policy is not published. For a large following, confirm the fixture-specific door policy rather than assuming historic recognition always applies.

Food & drink
Fresh pub food is served daily to 10pm, making it a better meal option than many football-only pubs.
How it works
large sports and music pub

Pub food

The Pavilion

10 min walk

Good for families · White City arrivals

A useful quieter alternative on the White City side, with food, a garden and family facilities. Current ground guidance includes it among away options, although its own site does not publish a football-admission policy.

Expect family pub · beer garden · live sport

Before you go Away access is guide-based rather than a venue-published rule. Ring ahead for large groups or visible colours, particularly for London derbies.

Food & drink
Steak-and-ale pie, fish and chips, small plates, vegetarian and vegan choices, with Saturday food service from late morning.

Palestinian falafel wraps

Mr Falafel

10 min walk

Good for quick pre-match food · vegetarians and vegans

One of the best quick-food stops on the route: fresh Palestinian falafel made to order at the market entrance, with fast service and a menu that works especially well for vegetarian and vegan supporters.

Expect fast independent food · market · vegetarian

Before you go Delivery service is listed only Monday-Saturday to 5.30pm; check the stall’s own hours for evening fixtures rather than assuming late service.

Food & drink
Fresh falafel wraps made to order, including classic, feta, avocado and Supreme combinations; the entire offer is vegetarian and mostly vegan.

Taiwanese street food

Bian Dang - Shepherd's Bush Market

10 min walk

Good for substantial quick meal · Saturday lunchtime

A stronger meal than a snack without committing to a restaurant: Taiwanese rice boxes with chicken, pork or oyster mushrooms, served from the market on the direct Shepherd’s Bush approach.

Expect street food · market · quick lunch

Before you go The stall currently trades Monday-Saturday from noon to 6pm, so it works well before a 3pm game but not after most evening kick-offs.

Food & drink
Crispy salt-and-pepper chicken, braised pork belly, fried pork chop or oyster-mushroom rice boxes with rice, pickles, vegetables and tea egg.
How it works
market stall takeaway

Syrian and Lebanese

Abu Zaad - Shepherd's Bush

18 min walk

Good for groups wanting a meal · shawarma

A reliable proper-meal choice near the away-pub meeting area: Syrian and Lebanese food, long daily opening and quick wraps if you do not have time for a full mezze.

Expect proper meal · Middle Eastern · halal

Before you go It is a restaurant rather than a football venue, so no colours policy was found. Weekend queues can still affect timings; leave enough time for the walk.

Food & drink
Chicken and lamb shawarma, falafel, mezze and grilled Middle Eastern dishes; vegetarian, vegan and halal options are available.
How it works
sit-down restaurant and takeaway

29 Uxbridge Road, Shepherd's Bush, London W12 8LH

Isan Thai

Esarn Kheaw

7 min walk

Good for evening fixtures · post-match meal

The best proper-meal option close to the stadium for an evening game: a long-running family Isan restaurant with serious regional Thai cooking rather than generic matchday food.

Expect proper meal · family run · Thai

Before you go It opens 5pm-10pm Monday-Saturday and closes Sunday, so it is no use for a standard Saturday pre-match lunch. Book if timing is tight.

Food & drink
Homemade Isan sausage, som tam, sticky rice, grilled chicken, curries and other north-eastern Thai specialities from a family restaurant established in 1992.
How it works
family-run sit-down restaurant and takeaway

sourdough pizza and Italian-style bites

The Hawk's Nest

12 min walk

Good for pizza · mixed groups

A useful food-led market stop rather than an away pub: sourdough pizza, a covered garden and enough space for groups. It works best when you want lunch and a drink without entering a Rangers-heavy boozer.

Expect covered garden · pizza · market

Before you go No QPR-specific away admission or colours policy was found. Saturday opening is noon; weekday opening is 4pm, which matters for daytime games.

Food & drink
Sourdough pizzas and Italian-style small plates in a covered heated garden, with beer, wine and cocktails.

stadium burgers, pies, snacks and drinks

MATRADE Loftus Road - School End away kiosks

0 min walk

Good for supporters already inside · last-minute food

The reliable fallback after entry: QPR documents two away kiosks with food, soft drinks and alcohol. The concourse is famously tight, so eating before the ground is usually the more comfortable option.

Expect away end · tight concourse · football food

Before you go Alcohol has previously been withdrawn for London derbies on police advice. Exact 2026/27 away-kiosk products and prices were not published in one official menu.

Food & drink
QPR confirms two visiting-supporter kiosks with food, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks. A 2026 stadium-wide board also showed burgers, cheeseburgers, dirty chicken fries and a pie-and-pint deal, but those exact items are not guaranteed in the away kiosks.

WHERE TO STAY

Where should you stay?

Choose a base for the football and the rest of your visit.

Where to stay

Stay in Shepherd's Bush or White City for a football-first visit. Both put you close to the ground, with Tube stations, food and the Westfield shopping area nearby, so you can walk to the match without arranging a taxi or worrying about the stadium streets closing. Shepherd's Bush Green is a better base if pubs, restaurants and an evening out matter more than the shortest walk. It also works well for Overground and Central line arrivals, whereas staying by White City makes the final walk and the next-morning Westfield access simpler. For a wider London weekend, Hammersmith is another practical interchange, but it adds an onward Tube or bus trip to the stadium. Decide on the return route first for midweek fixtures rather than pay extra to be close to the ground when the last connection will still be tight.

Matchday Fan Guide (official club guide; some timetable information superseded) ↗

For a first-choice football stay, base yourself around Shepherd's Bush Green / Rockley Road / Shepherd's Bush Market. It keeps Loftus Road within roughly 10–20 minutes on foot for the recommended hotels and puts both Tube/Overground options and a large food-and-drink catchment nearby. There is little reason for most visitors to move into central London unless the wider city night out matters more than the matchday convenience.

For the evening

Shepherd's Bush Green, Uxbridge Road and Goldhawk Road are the practical local evening zone, with pubs, bars, international restaurants and the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. Westfield adds a very large restaurant choice. For a later, more central-London night, the Central line gives easy onward access, but you do not need to leave Shepherd's Bush to have food and drinks after the match.

For the train

There is no major London terminus beside the stadium. Locally, Shepherd's Bush Market serves the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines, while Shepherd's Bush serves the Central line and London Overground. Those nodes make the Green/Westfield side of the district a more useful hotel base than the streets immediately around Loftus Road.

Hotels to compare

  • ibis London Shepherds Bush - Hammersmithibis London Shepherds Bush - HammersmithShepherd's Bush / West 12All-round choice

Current Booking.com score around 8.2 and Tripadvisor around 4.3/5 give it a stronger cross-platform quality signal than many similarly located budget/mid-range options.

Bear in mind: It is roughly twice the landmark distance of Hotel Shepherds Bush London, so supporters who value the shortest possible walk may prefer the closer option.

    Hotel details checked 2026-10-01
    More about this choice

About 0.7 miles from Loftus Road, so a post-match walk is realistic and avoids relying on a short Tube or bus hop through crowded local streets.

Very close to Shepherd's Bush Central/Overground and the Westfield side of the neighbourhood, useful for arrivals, food and a later evening.

Current official and recent review evidence repeatedly mentions cleanliness, practical location and friendly staff.

Price sampling places it in the value end of this local shortlist, although London/event volatility is substantial.

The room product is functional rather than characterful; this is a practical football-trip recommendation, not a boutique stay.

Recent negative reviews are not absent: isolated complaints mention service, noise, climate control and housekeeping.

The sampled weekend range is unusually wide, so the average can hide very cheap or very expensive individual dates.

Booking.com places it about 1,900 ft from Loftus Road, making it the nearest conventional hotel in the stronger-quality part of the local shortlist.

Bear in mind: Overall Booking.com score is around 7.9: respectable, but less consistent than the ibis or Hoxton.

    More about this choice

Shepherd's Bush Market station is immediately useful for Circle/Hammersmith & City services, while the Green and Westfield are still close.

Its small scale suits supporters who want a bed near the ground rather than a large destination hotel.

Booking.com location and staff sub-scores are strong, and 2026 Tripadvisor feedback repeatedly praises staff and cleanliness.

Some rooms are small and there are reports of street/tube noise despite many guests finding rooms quiet.

Isolated reviews mention maintenance and cleanliness details; this is why it wins proximity rather than the overall recommendation.

Weekend pricing can rise sharply on busy dates despite the modest scale of the property.

  • The Hoxton, Shepherds BushThe Hoxton, Shepherds BushShepherd's Bush GreenFor the evening

Strongest current reputation of the three primary picks: Booking.com around 8.8 and Tripadvisor around 4.5/5.

Bear in mind: Usually the priciest of the primary recommendations.

    Hotel details checked 2026-10-01
    More about this choice

Directly in the Shepherd's Bush Green evening cluster, with an in-house wraparound bar and Chet's restaurant.

About 2,350 ft from Loftus Road on Booking.com's nearby-hotel page, so supporters can still walk back after the match.

Excellent option for couples or groups who want a more polished social hotel rather than a basic overnight base.

Very good access to Shepherd's Bush transport and Westfield dining.

Some room categories are deliberately compact.

A busy public bar is part of the appeal but can be a downside on Saturday nights for guests seeking a quiet hotel atmosphere.

Recent reviews include some value-for-money and internal-noise criticism despite the strong overall scores.
