FIXTURE STORY

FOLLOW MANCHESTER CITY TO CHELSEA

This fixture is still months away, on 24 April. Today's table is useful background, but it is not a prediction of the positions either side will hold on matchday. If Manchester City are involved in the title race by then, this could be an away result with real weight behind it.

Manchester City are 1st in the Premier League after 7 league games, with 21 points. Set that against the summer expectation: title contenders.

Manchester City come into the current picture with five wins across their last five league games, worth fifteen points from a possible fifteen. Chelsea's last five recorded league games brought two wins, one draw and two defeats: seven points from a possible fifteen. Those are results available now; the form heading into this fixture may be very different.

Chelsea are 4th in the Premier League after 7 league games, with 13 points. Before the season, they were seen as challengers for Champions League football.

The destination is Stamford Bridge in London. Work back from kick-off when deciding whether this is a day trip or a night away. For most supporters, the Earl's Court/West Brompton side of the ground is the best compromise. It is roughly a 15-20 minute walk depending on the hotel, has strong Underground/Overground links and gives visiting supporters access to the pub area Chelsea itself points them towards. Stay at Stamford Bridge only when being on the stadium site matters more than price and current refurbishment risk. Chelsea/King's Road is stronger for a more upmarket evening but normally costs more. Check the matchday travel arrangements again nearer the fixture.

An away day is a chance to follow Manchester City somewhere different and make a proper day of the football. Check ticket access and the confirmed kick-off before booking; leave enough time either side of the game to enjoy the visit as well as support the team.

Table and form checked 22 October.

WHY STAY HERE?

ibis London Earls Court

West Brompton / Earl's Court

Our view

The strongest all-round choice for a typical Stamford Bridge overnight: close enough to walk, beside useful West Brompton transport, in the Earl's Court orbit for food and pubs, and backed by stronger current review evidence than the stadium hotel. Recent refurbishment has materially improved the rooms. The trade-off is volatile London pricing: on expensive dates it can cost well over £200, so it should be compared with NOX Chelsea before booking.

Why it suits this trip

  • Approximately a 15-20 minute practical walk to Stamford Bridge via the West Brompton side.
  • West Brompton station is only a few minutes away, giving District line and Mildmay/Overground options.
  • Earl's Court is useful for visiting supporters because Chelsea directs away fans there for pubs.
  • Full-service format with restaurant, bar, 24-hour reception and luggage storage suits an overnight football trip.
  • Current Booking.com score is around 8.5/10 with strong cleanliness, comfort, staff and value sub-scores.
  • Recent guest evidence repeatedly describes the refurbished rooms as modern and clean.

Getting to the ground

Straightforward football-trip location on the West Brompton side. Chelsea describes West Brompton as approximately a 15-minute walk from Stamford Bridge; the hotel is a few minutes from the station.

Pubs and the evening

Not a major late-night district in the Soho sense, but much more useful than the stadium doorstep for pubs, casual food and an away-supporter-friendly base. The hotel also has its own bar.

Arriving by train

A few minutes' walk. District line plus Mildmay/Overground connections; Earl's Court is also nearby.

The trade-offs

  • Rates are highly date-sensitive; the sample ranged from £114 to £220 midweek and £134 to £228 on sampled weekend nights.
  • Some recent reviews mention compact bathrooms, variable housekeeping and air-cooling limitations in hot weather.
  • It is not on the stadium site, so there is still a post-match walk through busy matchday streets.

Research price context

Sampled at roughly £114-£220 midweek and £134-£228 at weekends. The average was about £184 midweek and £166 at weekends, showing volatility rather than a dependable weekend premium.

Stamford Bridge Hotel London

Stamford Bridge / Fulham Broadway

The undisputed closest practical stay because it is inside the Stamford Bridge complex. That convenience is real, especially after an evening kick-off, but this is not the current overall recommendation: repeated 2026 reviews describe major refurbishment disruption, dated or poorly maintained rooms in parts of the property, construction noise and matchday access friction.

  • Located within the Chelsea FC stadium complex; there is effectively no post-match journey back to the hotel.
  • Fulham Broadway is around five minutes away for onward transport.

Our view

The undisputed closest practical stay because it is inside the Stamford Bridge complex. That convenience is real, especially after an evening kick-off, but this is not the current overall recommendation: repeated 2026 reviews describe major refurbishment disruption, dated or poorly maintained rooms in parts of the property, construction noise and matchday access friction. Book it for the stadium experience, not because it is automatically the best hotel.

Why it suits this trip

  • Located within the Chelsea FC stadium complex; there is effectively no post-match journey back to the hotel.
  • Fulham Broadway is around five minutes away for onward transport.
  • Football-focused facilities include Frankie's Sports Bar & Diner and stadium surroundings.
  • Useful for supporters who value the Chelsea/stadium experience above price.

Getting to the ground

Inside the Stamford Bridge grounds. The closest realistic hotel choice by a wide margin.

Pubs and the evening

There are restaurants and bars around Fulham Broadway and the hotel has its own football-oriented venues, but visiting supporters face pub restrictions immediately around the stadium and Chelsea's broader nightlife is stronger towards King's Road/Earl's Court.

Arriving by train

Approximately five minutes' walk on the District line. Matchday road controls and crowd management can affect the immediate area.

The trade-offs

  • The property was undergoing a significant refurbishment programme during 2026.
  • Recent reviews repeatedly report construction noise, tired rooms, maintenance faults and inconsistent communication about works.
  • Some matchday guests report extra stadium-security questioning or access friction when returning to the hotel.
  • It is materially more expensive than NOX Chelsea in the sampled dates.
  • Visiting supporters should not assume nearby pubs will admit them; Chelsea directs away fans towards Earl's Court.

Research price context

Sampled at roughly £224-£269 midweek and £269-£314 at weekends, averaging about £243 and £284 respectively. The location premium is clear.

Our view

The best fit when the evening matters as much as the match. It puts you in the Earl's Court/West Brompton area Chelsea explicitly identifies for visiting-supporter pubs, stays walkable to Stamford Bridge and was comfortably the cheapest primary hotel in the sampled dates. It is more of a practical aparthotel-style stay than a full-service hotel, so choose it for location, value and access to the surrounding area rather than an in-house bar or restaurant.

Why it suits this trip

  • Booking.com describes Stamford Bridge as about a 20-minute walk away.
  • Around five minutes' walk from both Earl's Court and West Brompton stations.
  • Earl's Court is specifically identified by Chelsea as the nearest pub area welcoming visiting supporters.
  • Kitchenette/refrigerator facilities are useful for an overnight football trip.
  • Booking.com scores location around 9.3/10 and value around 8.7/10.
  • It was the cheapest of the three primary choices across the sampled dates.

Getting to the ground

Booking.com describes Chelsea Football Club as a 20-minute walk away. The route also leaves you well placed for West Brompton and Earl's Court after the match.

Pubs and the evening

The key advantage is not clubbing but practical pubs, casual food and drinks in the same area Chelsea directs visiting supporters towards. King's Road has a more upmarket bar/restaurant scene but is normally pricier.

Arriving by train

Approximately five minutes' walk to either, giving Piccadilly, District and Mildmay/Overground options.

The trade-offs

  • It does not offer the full bar/restaurant/service package of the ibis or Stamford Bridge Hotel.
  • Some room types are compact or lower-ground-floor studios.
  • For a high-end Chelsea/King's Road night out, this is practical rather than luxurious.

Research price context

Sampled at roughly £109-£119 midweek and £129-£169 at weekends, averaging about £114 and £142 respectively.

YOUR AWAY DAY · Stamford Bridge

The ground

Manchester City at Chelsea

The modern Bridge is compact, hemmed into west London and very different from the old athletics bowl. Its atmosphere is concentrated at the two ends — the Matthew Harding and Shed — while remnants and memorials around the site constantly point back to earlier versions of the ground.

Recorded capacity
41,875

Views from the away section

Away views are commonly rated excellent, with the compact geometry keeping supporters close to the action.

Supporter observation

Multiple visiting-supporter reviews in the Stamford Bridge ground-guide archive describe strong sightlines from the away section, although the shallow geometry and older internal layout can make parts of the ground feel less modern than the exterior suggests.

Why the ground matters

Stamford Bridge is the rare big-club ground that is older than the club using it and central to the foundation story. It has also been the object of a genuine survival fight. That combination is why relocation talk at Chelsea is never only a capacity or revenue discussion.

Shed End

The famous name came from supporter Cliff Webb in 1966. The current seated stand replaced the old terrace in the 1990s but retained the name.

Matthew Harding Stand

Opened as the rebuilt North Stand in 1994 and renamed after Harding following his death in 1996. It remains one of the main vocal home areas.

Peter Osgood statue

Outside the West Stand area; a meeting point as well as a memorial.

Shed End penalty spot

Peter Osgood's ashes were interred beneath it at his 2006 memorial service.

Safe-standing rail seating

Current official provision covers Matthew Harding lower and the Shed End, keeping both ends physically geared towards standing support.

Atmosphere & acoustics

Manchester City at Chelsea

Noise can be strong when the ground is full, helped by the enclosed footprint.

From the supporters

Supporter observation

A Sunderland supporter who attends almost every away match described the Stamford Bridge away-end acoustics as superb, saying sustained visiting noise became exceptionally loud late in the game.

Shed flags and fan displays

Recent displays organised by We Are The Shed show supporters actively curating atmosphere and visual heritage.

Food & drink

Manchester City at Chelsea

Stamford Bridge is awkward for visiting supporters who want a pub close to the turnstiles. Chelsea’s current visiting-supporter guide says pubs around the stadium do not admit visiting-team fans and directs away supporters to Earl’s Court, around 25–30 minutes away on foot. A May 2026 Tottenham guide, explicitly relaying Chelsea advice, names the Earls Court Tavern, Courtfield and Prince of Teck as the closest away-supporter pubs.

Food and drink around the ground

Recent Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Aston Villa supporter discussions broadly reinforce Earl’s Court as the usual pre-match base. Food is easier than pub access. Chelsea confirms a full range of refreshments, including alcohol, in the visiting concourse, while Fulham Broadway has a broad mix of food outlets.

Home supporters have several ground-side options, including the recently reopened Chelsea Pensioner and the Butchers Hook, but visiting fans should not rely on admission there. The Tea Bar is used as a Fan Zone for selected Chelsea Women fixtures and special events; no standing all-fixture men’s Fan Zone was verified.

Courtfield

Courtfield is one of the clearest away-supporter choices currently supported by strong evidence. Tottenham’s May 2026 Stamford Bridge guide says Chelsea advised visiting fans that Courtfield, Earls Court Tavern and Prince of Teck are the closest away-supporter pubs. The venue is also operating normally, serves food and shows live sport, while recent Manchester City and Manchester United supporter discussions continue to point to Courtfield as a regular away meet-up.

The approximately 30-minute walk comes from current visiting-club guidance covering the Earl’s Court pubs. No current source was found that explicitly guarantees admission in away colours, so colours remain unknown and fixture-specific checks are sensible.

Earls Court Tavern

Earls Court Tavern is a current, club-advised away-supporter option rather than just a generic nearby pub. Tottenham’s May 2026 guide says Chelsea specifically named it alongside Courtfield and Prince of Teck. Its current Greene King pages confirm food, family-friendly facilities and live sport, making it one of the better evidenced choices for supporters who want to eat as well as drink before travelling on to the ground.

Admission is supported by current visiting-club guidance, but no current source explicitly sets out an away-colours policy. The quoted walk is approximately 30 minutes from the same May 2026 guidance.

Prince of Teck

Prince of Teck remains a live and relevant away-supporter option. Chelsea’s advice relayed by Tottenham in May 2026 names it as one of the three closest away pubs. CAMRA’s West London listing was updated in July 2026 and records the pub as open under Whelans, with food service. Older visiting-fan reporting also describes it as a recognised away base that can fill quickly.

The venue is verified open and away use is currently supported, but a stable current venue homepage was not independently verified and no current source sets out family or away-colours policy. Treat those fields cautiously.

The Blackbird

The Blackbird is not in the three-pub list Chelsea relayed to Tottenham in May 2026, so it should not be presented as equally official. However, it is currently open, serves food, welcomes families and continues to appear in current away-pub guides and recent visiting-supporter reports.

An Aston Villa supporter thread from December 2025 specifically reported Villa fans using it around Chelsea away, while a September 2026 Chelsea supporter discussion also recommended starting there.

Treat away admission as usually reported rather than guaranteed. No current club or venue source was found stating its away-fan or colours policy, and no walk time is returned because current sources give inconsistent or non-authoritative timings.

The Chelsea Pensioner

The Chelsea Pensioner is a current home-supporter matchday pub rather than an away recommendation. It reopened in June 2026 and its own site describes it as the dedicated matchday bar for Chelsea supporters, with blue memorabilia, live sport and a pre-kick-off DJ. The venue also advertises pub classics and vegan options. Chelsea’s current visitor guidance says pubs around Stamford Bridge do not admit visiting-team fans, so away supporters should plan elsewhere.

  • supporters seeking a lively pre-kick-off atmosphere

The venue’s general marketing also says it 'welcomes everyone', but that is not a published away-fan matchday admission policy. For away supporters, Chelsea’s visitor guidance should take precedence.

The Butchers Hook

The Butchers Hook is open, serves food, describes itself as family friendly and shows live sport, so it remains useful for home supporters close to Stamford Bridge. For visiting fans, however, Chelsea’s current guide says pubs around the stadium do not admit visiting-team supporters.

That official position conflicts with one current independent ground guide that labels The Butchers Hook as away-friendly, so it should not be recommended to away fans without fixture-specific verification.

  • supporters wanting pub food before the game
  • home fans interested in a traditional football-pub stop

This is the clearest live source conflict in the research. Keep it as a home-supporter candidate and manually recheck any proposed away-facing copy before publication.

Frankie's Sports Bar & Grill

Frankie’s is one of the clearest food-and-screen options on the Stamford Bridge site. Chelsea says it opens on matchdays, uses set menus on matchdays and stays open throughout the game, allowing guests without a match ticket to watch a Chelsea home fixture there. That makes it particularly useful for home supporters or companions without a stadium ticket.

Chelsea advises booking its Stamford Bridge restaurants well in advance. The club page frames Frankie’s around Chelsea supporters and does not publish a current visiting-team admission or away-colours policy, so away access is left unknown rather than inferred.

Tea Bar Fan Zone

Chelsea is actively using the Tea Bar as a Fan Zone, but the evidence is fixture-specific rather than a permanent all-match offer. For the Chelsea Women v Arsenal match on 27 September 2026, the club advertised live music, face painting, temporary tattoos, roaming family entertainment, poster making and food and drink at the Tea Bar Fan Zone. Other official Chelsea pages also use the Tea Bar for selected heritage and pre-match events.

Accessibility

Manchester City at Chelsea

For wheelchair seating or Blue Badge parking, contact your own club’s accessible ticket team and Chelsea’s Access Department before travelling. Chelsea provides visiting wheelchair places in the Shed End and accessible entrances, but matchday parking must be arranged ahead and may be affected by road closures. Do not assume a Blue Badge allows you to park in a residents’ bay for the whole game. Fulham Broadway has lifts and is Chelsea’s recommended Tube approach.

Accessible journeys

West Brompton has only partial step-free coverage, and current National Rail information reports a lift fault at Imperial Wharf. Earl’s Court also has a temporary District line access restriction, so check your exact step-free journey on the day.

Before the match

Manchester City at Chelsea

Use Fulham Broadway on the District line for the shortest approach to Stamford Bridge. The station is a short walk along Fulham Road, and trains from Earl’s Court towards Wimbledon serve it. Expect a busy return after full-time and leave time for station crowd control. West Brompton is a useful alternative for Overground or District line arrivals, with the ground around a 15-minute walk away.

Pre-match choices

Earl's Court/Fulham Broadway is the broad pre-match area; pubs such as the Courtfield are commonly used but should be checked for football admission policies.

The pre-match experience

Supporter observation

Away supporters have reported using Parsons Green and Earl’s Court/Fulham-area pubs rather than relying only on the immediate Stamford Bridge footprint.

This is supporter-reported matchday information. Pub admission and matchday policy can vary by fixture, so check current details before travelling.

Courtfield

Courtfield is one of the clearest away-supporter choices currently supported by strong evidence.

  • Chelsea supporters without a match ticket who still want to watch the home game
  • home fans wanting sit-down food at the stadium complex
  • supporters wanting a pre- or post-match sports-bar option

Do not publish this as a standing men’s first-team Fan Zone. Check the club’s fixture-specific matchday page before each game. Current evidence does not establish away-fan access or an away-colours policy.

Station to ground & away entrance

Follow your away ticket to the Shed End and enter the stadium site at Stamford Gate off Fulham Road, unless Chelsea or stewards issue a different route. This is the established visiting-supporter approach and the most direct way to reach the away turnstiles. From Fulham Broadway, walk along Fulham Road towards the stadium and follow the away-fan signs and steward cordons.

Chelsea checks tickets before searches and turnstile admission, so aim to be inside at least 30 minutes before kick-off. Upper and lower visiting allocations can differ; use the entrance printed on your ticket.

Buses & local travel

The simplest local journey is the District line to Fulham Broadway. If you are already nearby, TfL buses 14, 211 and 414 run along Fulham Road and stop near the ground. Matchday closures can alter where buses stop, so check the live service rather than expecting to be dropped outside the turnstiles. For supporters arriving on London Overground, West Brompton and Imperial Wharf are walkable alternatives.

Use Earl’s Court for District or Piccadilly line connections before the match, but it is a longer walk to the ground. There is no dedicated stadium park-and-ride service established in the inspected sources.

Parking

Manchester City at Chelsea

If you must drive to Stamford Bridge, book an off-street space or use a proper public car park. Free on-street parking is not a dependable matchday plan, including on Sundays and bank holidays. Chelsea’s surrounding parking zones operate seven days a week and the club closes part of Fulham Road around kick-off and full-time. A privately booked space on Halford Road is one practical choice, with JustPark listings describing a walk of roughly ten minutes to the ground.

Parking & park-and-ride

Book enough time for both walks and the match, and choose somewhere outside the Fulham Road closure. A space directly on Fulham Road may leave your car trapped until the police reopen it. Do not treat side roads around Fulham Broadway or North End Road as unrestricted. In zones F and S, controls apply from 8.30am to 10pm every day. Ordinary visitor stays are limited to two hours in F and one hour in S.

We could not confirm a named unrestricted roadside bay within a sensible walk of the away entrance. For a pay-on-arrival alternative, Design Centre Chelsea Harbour advertises underground parking at £12.50 for up to ten hours. Chelsea and Westminster Hospital also operates a public paid car park, although it can cost considerably more. Check each car park’s matchday opening, available spaces and walking route before travelling.

Allow around five hours for a normal visit, longer for a cup tie or a distant parking space. Ordinary supermarket customer parking is not suitable without explicit football-use permission and enough time. If nearby bookings are full, use a larger public car park farther out, such as Westfield London, and take the Underground to Fulham Broadway.

Driving & road restrictions

Set the sat-nav to the car park you have chosen, rather than to Stamford Bridge itself. The ground is on Fulham Road, SW6 1HS, but ordinary matchday parking is extremely limited. From the A4 and Earl’s Court, plan a route that stays outside the matchday closure and does not rely on driving past the turnstiles. Fulham Road closes between Harwood Road and Hortensia Road about 90 minutes before kick-off and usually reopens around an hour after the game.

Traffic is diverted via King’s Road. Check your vehicle against TfL’s ULEZ rules and check any Congestion Charge boundary crossed by your full journey before setting off; roadworks and police changes remain fixture-specific.

Worth knowing

Manchester City at Chelsea

The most identity-relevant part of an away visit is that visiting fans are placed inside the Shed End story rather than in an anonymous corner detached from it. You are beside home supporters in a stand whose name was invented by a fan, under the same music and visual rituals that carry decades of Chelsea culture.

Matchday features

Close-to-pitch London ground. Around 30 away wheelchair positions. Compact concourse

Bags and entry

Check current stadium policy.

The ground is in Fulham, not the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea

The railway is the boundary; this is visible urban geography, not trivia.

The Shed name survived a complete rebuild

The concrete is modern compared with the original terrace, but the supporter-created name crossed the redevelopment intact.

Osgood is the only statue at Stamford Bridge

Its solitary status says something about how singular his place remains in the older supporter imagination.

Founders across the tracks

Brompton Cemetery is close enough to be part of the visual approach to the ground.

The old Shed roof was built for betting customers at greyhound racing

One of football's famous stand identities emerged from infrastructure intended for another sport.

A detail worth noticing

Founder Gus Mears and other early Chelsea figures are buried just across the railway.

The former Rising Sun opposite the ground is the building in which the club was formally founded.

Not part of the stadium site, but close enough to have shaped the club's 1960s and later cultural image.

The freehold arrangement is a living institutional memorial to the Save the Bridge battle.

Use Fulham Broadway on the District line for the shortest approach to Stamford Bridge. The station is a short walk along Fulham Road, and trains from Earl’s Court towards Wimbledon serve it. Expect a busy return after full-time and leave time for station crowd control.

Coaches

Away coaches

Away-supporter coaches normally unload and park on Imperial Road, not in an ordinary car park outside Stamford Bridge. The coach company must register its number plate through Chelsea’s coach-parking operator ahead of the fixture so the council exemption can be arranged. Tell your driver to follow the specific booking deadline rather than assuming a 48-hour rule applies.

From Imperial Road, follow the operator’s signs and marshals towards the away entrance at Stamford Gate. Coaches are normally permitted from two hours before kick-off until 90 minutes after full-time. Police may allow some coaches closer to the stadium, but the collection point is a matchday instruction, so check it with your driver before leaving the vehicle.

Accessibility

Accessible journeys

For wheelchair seating or Blue Badge parking, contact your own club’s accessible ticket team and Chelsea’s Access Department before travelling. Chelsea provides visiting wheelchair places in the Shed End and accessible entrances, but matchday parking must be arranged ahead and may be affected by road closures. Do not assume a Blue Badge allows you to park in a residents’ bay for the whole game.

Fulham Broadway has lifts and is Chelsea’s recommended Tube approach. West Brompton has only partial step-free coverage, and current National Rail information reports a lift fault at Imperial Wharf. Earl’s Court also has a temporary District line access restriction, so check your exact step-free journey on the day.

After the match

After the match

Allow extra time to leave Stamford Bridge, particularly if using Fulham Broadway. The station is close but attracts most of the crowd, and stewards may manage the flow. West Brompton or Imperial Wharf can be useful alternative walks if their services suit your return, although neither currently provides an uncomplicated step-free alternative.

If you drove, expect the Fulham Road closure to continue for roughly an hour after full-time. A booked space immediately on that road may be inaccessible until it reopens. Follow steward directions back to Imperial Road if travelling by coach, unless your organiser confirms a police-approved collection point closer to the ground.

Where to stay

Stay in Earl’s Court or around West Brompton for a straightforward Chelsea away trip. You can walk to Stamford Bridge, use several Underground or Overground connections and find food and pubs without staying directly at the stadium. Chelsea itself directs visiting supporters towards Earl’s Court for pre-match drinks.

Choose central Fulham or Stamford Bridge only if being close to the match is your priority. The immediate ground area is busy and tightly controlled on matchdays, so check hotel access and parking separately. Central London remains possible for a longer weekend, but you will then need a Tube journey back after the game.

Recommended visiting-fan base
Earl’s Court / West Brompton: walkable to away gate and more visiting-friendly pubs
Away-friendly pub area
Chelsea directs visiting supporters towards Earl’s Court, about 1.4 miles from stadium
Closer match-focused base
Fulham Broadway and immediate stadium area; shortest walk but matchday access controls
Public transport base
Earl’s Court District/Piccadilly, or West Brompton Overground/District

Stamford Bridge is awkward for visiting supporters who want a pub close to the turnstiles. Chelsea’s current visiting-supporter guide says pubs around the stadium do not admit visiting-team fans and directs away supporters to Earl’s Court, around 25–30 minutes away on foot. A May 2026 Tottenham guide, explicitly relaying Chelsea advice, names the Earls Court Tavern, Courtfield and Prince of Teck as the closest away-supporter pubs.

WORTH KNOWINGThe approximately 30-minute walk comes from current visiting-club guidance covering the Earl’s Court pubs. No current source was found that explicitly guarantees admission in away colours, so colours remain unknown and fixture-specific checks are sensible.

Earls Court Tavern

123 Earls Court Road, Earls Court, London SW5 9RL
30 min walkAway fans welcomeFamily friendlyFood available
BEST FORaway supporters meeting near Earl’s Court station · families wanting a pub meal before the match · supporters wanting a Chelsea-advised alternative to Courtfield
MATCHDAY INTELEarls Court Tavern is a current, club-advised away-supporter option rather than just a generic nearby pub.
WORTH KNOWINGAdmission is supported by current visiting-club guidance, but no current source explicitly sets out an away-colours policy. The quoted walk is approximately 30 minutes from the same May 2026 guidance.
PUB / BAR

Prince of Teck

161 Earls Court Road, Earls Court, London SW5 9RQ
30 min walkAway fans welcomeFood available
BEST FORaway supporters meeting close to Earl’s Court station · supporters wanting food alongside live sport · overflow when other Earl’s Court away pubs are busy
MATCHDAY INTELPrince of Teck remains a live and relevant away-supporter option.
WORTH KNOWINGThe venue is verified open and away use is currently supported, but a stable current venue homepage was not independently verified and no current source sets out family or away-colours policy. Treat those fields cautiously.
PUB / BAR

The Blackbird

209 Earl's Court Road, London SW5 9AN
Usually away-friendlyFamily friendlyFood available
BEST FORaway supporters wanting another Earl’s Court option · families wanting food and a calmer pub setting · supporters who prefer a food-led pub before the match
MATCHDAY INTELThe Blackbird is not in the three-pub list Chelsea relayed to Tottenham in May 2026, so it should not be presented as equally official.
WORTH KNOWINGTreat away admission as usually reported rather than guaranteed. No current club or venue source was found stating its away-fan or colours policy, and no walk time is returned because current sources give inconsistent or non-authoritative timings.
PUB / BAR

Frankie's Sports Bar & Grill

Stamford Bridge, Fulham Road, London SW6 1HS
Away access: checkFamily: checkFood available
BEST FORChelsea supporters without a match ticket who still want to watch the home game · home fans wanting sit-down food at the stadium complex · supporters wanting a pre- or post-match sports-bar option
MATCHDAY INTELFrankie’s is one of the clearest food-and-screen options on the Stamford Bridge site. Chelsea says it opens on matchdays, uses set menus on matchdays and stays open throughout the game, allowing guests without a match ticket to watch a Chelsea home fixture there. That makes it particularly useful for home supporters or companions without a stadium ticket.
WORTH KNOWINGChelsea advises booking its Stamford Bridge restaurants well in advance. The club page frames Frankie’s around Chelsea supporters and does not publish a current visiting-team admission or away-colours policy, so away access is left unknown rather than inferred.
PUB / BAR

The Chelsea Pensioner

358 Fulham Road, London SW10 9UU
Not for away fansFamily: checkFood available
BEST FORChelsea home supporters wanting a strongly club-themed pre-match pub · home fans wanting food and live sport close to the ground · supporters seeking a lively pre-kick-off atmosphere
MATCHDAY INTELThe Chelsea Pensioner is a current home-supporter matchday pub rather than an away recommendation.
WORTH KNOWINGThe venue’s general marketing also says it 'welcomes everyone', but that is not a published away-fan matchday admission policy. For away supporters, Chelsea’s visitor guidance should take precedence.
PUB / BAR

The Butchers Hook

477 Fulham Road, Fulham, London SW6 1HL
Not for away fansFamily friendlyFood available
BEST FORChelsea home supporters wanting a pub very close to Stamford Bridge · supporters wanting pub food before the game · home fans interested in a traditional football-pub stop
MATCHDAY INTELThe Butchers Hook is open, serves food, describes itself as family friendly and shows live sport, so it remains useful for home supporters close to Stamford Bridge. For visiting fans, however, Chelsea’s current guide says pubs around the stadium do not admit visiting-team supporters. That official position conflicts with one current independent ground guide that labels The Butchers Hook as away-friendly, so it should not be recommended to away fans without fixture-specific verification.
WORTH KNOWINGThis is the clearest live source conflict in the research. Keep it as a home-supporter candidate and manually recheck any proposed away-facing copy before publication.

FANZONE

Tea Bar Fan Zone

Where it isStamford Bridge, Fulham Road, London SW6 1HSView on map ↗

Chelsea is actively using the Tea Bar as a Fan Zone, but the evidence is fixture-specific rather than a permanent all-match offer. For the Chelsea Women v Arsenal match on 27 September 2026, the club advertised live music, face painting, temporary tattoos, roaming family entertainment, poster making and food and drink at the Tea Bar Fan Zone. Other official Chelsea pages also use the Tea Bar for selected heritage and pre-match events.

Away access: checkFamily friendlyFood available
BEST FORChelsea Women matchgoers when the Fan Zone is advertised · families wanting pre-match entertainment · supporters attending a fixture with a published Tea Bar event
WORTH KNOWINGDo not publish this as a standing men’s first-team Fan Zone. Check the club’s fixture-specific matchday page before each game. Current evidence does not establish away-fan access or an away-colours policy.
