WHERE TO STAY
Where should Bromley fans stay?
Start with our all-round pick, choose a ground-first base, or stay where the pubs and evening are.
Match night · 2 guests · 1 room
Premier Inn High Wycombe Central Hotel
High Wycombe town centre
The strongest all-round football-trip base. It puts you in central High Wycombe for pubs, food, the station and an easier evening after the match, while recent review evidence remains broadly strong. Adams Park is not on the doorstep, so this choice deliberately prioritises the whole overnight trip over walking distance to the turnstiles.
- Town-centre position gives the best access of the shortlisted hotels to High Wycombe's main cluster of pubs, bars and restaurants.
- High Wycombe station is within a short town-centre walk, useful for supporters arriving by rail.
A long walk for a normal matchday, especially after dark or in poor weather. Bus/taxi is the sensible default from the centre.
Adams Park is roughly 2.6-2.8 miles from central High Wycombe; walking is possible but around 50 minutes, so bus or taxi is the more practical matchday plan.
Compare live rates and room options for your dates.
Buckingham Annexe
West Wycombe Road
The closest option we are comfortable elevating as a practical recommendation, rather than simply the closest bed on a map. At roughly 1.4 miles from Adams Park it cuts the matchday walk materially versus the town centre, while its current Booking.com evidence is notably healthier than some still-closer alternatives.
- Around 1.4 miles from Adams Park, making a roughly 25-30 minute walk realistic for many supporters.
- Verified Booking.com availability and generally good value scores.
Booking.com's Adams Park comparison places the property around 1.4 miles away. The 28-minute walk figure is a practical walking-time estimate from that distance, not a live turn-by-turn route.
It is not in High Wycombe's main evening/nightlife cluster; town-centre pubs and restaurants are less convenient than from Premier Inn Central.

Parking
Driving & road restrictions
Use HP12 4HJ for Adams Park and approach from M40 junction 4. Follow the A4010 towards Aylesbury, continue along New Road, then turn into Lane End Road and on to Hillbottom Road. Keep your parking booking to hand: the club has introduced a checkpoint farther along Hillbottom Road to manage stadium traffic.
Do not approach the stadium gates without a valid parking pass. On home matchdays, Hillbottom Road is closed to vehicles at 90 minutes until the main pedestrian crowd has dispersed. Check Buckinghamshire Council's roadworks information before travelling; temporary restrictions and matchday controls may change your final approach.
- Sat-nav postcode
- HP12 4HJ
- Main approach
- M40 junction 4; A4010/John Hall Way; New Road; Lane End Road; Hillbottom Road
- Parking-permit checkpoint
- Matchday control point farther down Hillbottom Road
- Matchday vehicle closure

- Current temporary roadworks
- Check Buckinghamshire roadworks map for the specific fixture; no additional closure asserted here
Parking & park-and-ride
Book an authorised space rather than rely on free street parking near Adams Park. The club's upper-tier car park costs £10, must normally be pre-booked and admits cars at least an hour before kick-off. It is closest to the turnstiles but can be slow to leave because vehicles share Hillbottom Road. No individually numbered bay is promised.
Millbrook School on Mill End Road, HP12 4BA, is the better balance if you can walk for around 20 minutes. The club lists it about a mile from the stadium and sells spaces in advance. For the recent Saturday fixture its gates opened at noon and closed at 7pm; check different opening arrangements for evening games.
You may see cars parked on nearby streets in Sands or along industrial roads, but we could not confirm a named stretch that is both legally unrestricted and dependable on matchdays. Buckinghamshire's traffic-order map and the club's warnings make it unwise to gamble on residential parking. Do not block junctions, driveways or business access.
If both official sites are full, authorised business car parks operate along Hillbottom Road. Check the operator and price before leaving your car. Another fallback is Wycombe Swan Car Park in the town centre, which charges £4.30 for up to six hours Monday to Saturday or £1.30 on Sundays and bank holidays; take the matchday bus onward.
Allow around four to five hours for the whole visit, including walking, the match and queues. Do not treat supermarket or retail customer parking as permission to attend football; any validated shopping or cinema offer has separate conditions. At full-time Hillbottom Road is held for pedestrians, so parking farther away may save time even with the longer walk.
- Parking verdict
- Booking advisable; do not rely on unverified free street parking near Adams Park
- Legal restrictions — Hillbottom Road and local streets
- Matchday vehicle-management order on Hillbottom Road; club warns of local parking restrictions and traffic wardens; no verified unrestricted named street section
- Matchday availability — residential streets
- Supporters report limited side-road supply and rapid filling; anecdotal only, not permission to park
- Booking recommendation — Adams Park
- Upper-tier spaces must normally be pre-booked; unreserved cars turned away
- Paid option — Adams Park upper tier
- £10 car parking, pre-booked, weather-dependent capacity; grass-banked upper tier

- St Mary Street HP11 2XE; 24 hours; £4.30 up to six hours Monday–Saturday (7am–8pm charging), £1.30 Sundays and bank holidays
- Public retail car park — Eden
- Eden Shopping Centre paid public car park: £5 for four to five hours; £9 for five to eight hours; £2.50 Sunday all-day; not free unrestricted supermarket parking
- Supermarket permission/time limit
- No operator permission and all-match time limit verified for supermarket customer-only parking near the ground; do not use for football without explicit authorisation
- Retail validation caveat
- Eden Cineworld validation offer is customer-specific and limited to four hours, which may not cover a full football visit; do not assume it applies to non-customers
- Total dwell time
- Plan four to five hours including arrival, walking, full match, stoppage time and departure delays; planning allowance, not operator permission
- After the match
- Hillbottom Road vehicle closure begins at 90 minutes and is lifted after the main pedestrian crowd clears; exit delay is variable
- Bank holiday and evening parking
- Wycombe Swan Sunday/bank-holiday charge £1.30, and no charge outside 7am–8pm; stadium/School booking and hours depend on fixture
- Excluded historic suggestion — West Wycombe shuttle
- Historic Cowleaze Field park-and-ride not confirmed as operating for 2026/27; do not recommend
- Booking guarantee — stadium and school
- An advance booking is the requirement for admission to the booked parking site; a specifically numbered individual bay or faster exit was not confirmed

Trains
Rail, Underground & tram
High Wycombe is the station to use for Adams Park. Chiltern Railways runs between London Marylebone and Birmingham via High Wycombe, but the stadium is around 2½–3 miles away. Rather than walking the whole distance, catch the Carousel WW1 matchday bus from the railway station or use a taxi from outside.
The WW1 also calls at High Wycombe bus station and serves Hillbottom Road, where you continue towards the stadium. Check the matchday timetable and your return train before setting off, particularly for midweek games; there is no underground or tram link to the ground.

- High Wycombe (Chiltern Railways)
- Railway connections
- London Marylebone and Birmingham corridors
- Station to stadium
- Approximately 2.5–2.8 miles; shuttle or taxi recommended

- Underground or tram connection
- No direct Underground or tram service to Adams Park
Station to ground & away entrance
Head for the visiting end behind the goal, currently branded the WhiffAway Stand, with turnstiles 3–5 to the left of Ticket Office 1 in published supporter directions. Adams Park is at the end of Hillbottom Road, and stewards will direct you to the correct entrance for your ticket.
If you arrive by the WW1 bus, follow Hillbottom Road towards the ground and use the signed visiting entrance rather than joining home turnstile queues. The bus drop-off can be adjusted under matchday traffic management, so follow the instructions given on arrival. Allow time for the final walk and the usual ticket checks.

Coaches
Away coaches
If you travel on your visiting club's official coach, use its arranged drop-off and collection plan rather than making your own way to a public bus stop. A visiting-supporter liaison guide has described coaches dropping passengers by the away turnstiles, but the exact position depends on the fixture and stadium traffic arrangements.
Hillbottom Road is the only approach to Adams Park. Wycombe's matchday traffic order allows coaches and matchday buses to be brought closer to the stadium, but departures are still affected when vehicles are held for pedestrians after full-time. Confirm your coach's collection point and departure instructions with the organiser before kick-off.
- Reported visiting coach drop-off
- Outside or close to visiting turnstiles in a February 2026 away-club guide; fixture-dependent
- Coach access management
- Hillbottom Road TTRO permits matchday coaches/buses to stop nearer stadium gates
- Post-match departure constraint
- Vehicles may be held following full-time until the pedestrian crowd has cleared
Buses
Buses & local travel
Take the Carousel WW1 matchday bus if you are coming from High Wycombe station or the town centre. The service runs for Wycombe home league fixtures, via the bus station and Dashwood Avenue, and is intended for both home and visiting supporters. Check its fixture timetable and return departure before relying on it.
The ordinary Carousel 32 and 32A buses are an alternative from High Wycombe bus station, using the Hour Glass stop in Sands; you then walk along the approach towards Adams Park. These are not stadium-door shuttles. Temporary diversions can affect their route, and a bus journey after full-time may take longer while Hillbottom Road is managed for the departing crowd.
- Matchday bus
- Carousel WW1: High Wycombe railway station, bus station and Dashwood Avenue to Adams Park area
- Service days
- WW1 advertised for Wycombe Wanderers home league matchdays; check cup and changed fixtures separately
- Matchday shuttle return fare
- £5 return quoted in December 2025 visiting-club guide; recheck current fare before travelling
- Local bus alternative
- Carousel 32/32A via Sands, The Hour Glass pub stop; onward walk required
- October 2026 service disruption
- Carousel 32/33 diversion around Green Street published for 7 September–18 October 2026
- Other matchday bus origins
- Club reports matchday services from Aylesbury, Thame and Maidenhead; confirm current route availability
Accessibility
Accessible journeys
Contact Wycombe Wanderers' ticket office before travelling if you need accessible parking or a wheelchair place. Limited Blue Badge parking is available in the stadium's lower-tier car park and must be arranged in advance; recent visiting-club guidance quotes £10 and asks drivers to arrive at least an hour before kick-off. Confirm the entry gate and arrival deadline for your fixture.
High Wycombe railway station has step-free access to all platforms, with lifts and staff assistance. That does not guarantee the whole journey to Adams Park is step-free, particularly where the bus drops off or around the sloping approach. Ask the club and Carousel about a suitable accessible transfer before booking; do not assume an ordinary matchday bus can accommodate every requirement.
- High Wycombe rail access
- Category A step-free to all platforms; lifts and assistance available
- Accessible car parking
- Limited reserved Blue Badge spaces in stadium lower-tier car park; prior visiting guide quotes £10
- Accessibility booking contact
- Wycombe Wanderers ticket office: 01494 441118 (club number in visiting-club guide)
- Accessible car-park arrival
- Arrive at least an hour before kick-off or earlier specified time for fixture
- Wheelchair away allocations
- Available but exact number and platform access must be confirmed with club for the fixture
After the match
After the match
Expect a pause before vehicles can leave the stadium end of Hillbottom Road. Wycombe's October 2026 traffic plan closes the road when the match clock reaches 90 minutes, reopening it only after most pedestrians have dispersed. A space next to the ground is therefore convenient before the match but not necessarily quickest afterwards.
Millbrook School or an authorised outer business car park can be more convenient for reaching Lane End Road, although neither guarantees a clear exit. If travelling by WW1 bus, locate its return stop and check the final departure before kick-off. Rail travellers should allow a generous connection at High Wycombe rather than assume they will reach a train immediately after the whistle.
- Hillbottom Road closure
- Closed to vehicles from match clock reaching 90 minutes until the pedestrian crowd clears
- Car-park exit warning
- Main stadium car park can have substantial queues after matches; supporter accounts are anecdotal
- Alternative departure strategy
- Millbrook or authorised outer parking may reduce time spent at stadium gate; no promised exit time
- Return bus
- Check Carousel WW1 fixture-specific return location and last departure
- Train buffer
- Allow additional time for the matchday shuttle, queue and walk before booking a train
Where to stay
Stay in central High Wycombe for the easiest combination of railway access, places to eat and an evening after the match. The town centre and the Eden area give you access to the bus station and Carousel matchday service, so there is no need to choose a room beside the stadium's industrial estate.
If you are driving and want to reduce the matchday journey, look towards West Wycombe Road, but check the final walk or taxi route rather than assuming a hotel is next to the ground. Adams Park is several miles from High Wycombe station and town centre. An overnight stop is most useful for a long-distance midweek trip or when the return train connection is poor.
- Recommended overnight area
- Central High Wycombe near railway station, Eden and bus station
- Stadium-side alternative
- West Wycombe Road area reduces the stadium leg but has fewer centrally located facilities; compare actual travel arrangements
- Late-return consideration
- Check fixture-specific Carousel bus timetable and rail connection before deciding whether to stay overnight

For an easy away-day pint, try the visitors’ marquee at Adams Park if it operates for your match. The ground lies at the end of Hillbottom Road, well beyond the town-centre pubs; visitors use the WhiffAway Stand. The Hour Glass on Chapel Lane is the nearest proper pub, roughly 15 minutes away, with a history of welcoming visiting supporters. From High Wycombe station, meet in the centre rather than at the Flint Cottage opposite the platforms: it closed in 2026. The Falcon on Cornmarket is the straightforward meeting point; O’Neill’s, Heidrun and Mad Squirrel suit supporters staying around the central hotels. You will need a matchday bus, local 32/32A towards the Hour Glass, or taxi: Adams Park is about two and a half miles from the station. For food, use the away-village stall if confirmed, or eat centrally at Kappad, Historia or James William Diners. The away concourse has kiosks but no alcohol. The 17 October stall lineup and pub colours rules remain unconfirmed.

Food & quick bites
Where to grab a bite, have a proper meal or try the local matchday favourite.
James William Diners
For a takeaway that is genuinely different from the usual matchday burger, try James William Diners on Crendon Street. It advertises Caribbean dishes and collection, which suits a stop before heading across town.
Kappad Restaurant
Kappad is the town-centre choice if you want a proper meal rather than pub food. Its Kerala menu includes crisp dosas and seafood curries, with a useful Saturday lunchtime service.
Historia Meze Grill
Historia is a useful option for groups who would rather sit down for grilled meat, meze or Turkish pizza. Its lunchtime offer makes it practical if you have arrived with plenty of time.
High Wycombe High Street market food stalls
Saturday’s High Street market can be the quickest way to find independent street food without committing to a restaurant. Buy from the stalls actually trading, then head for the ground.
Adams Park Away Stand kiosks
The two kiosks in the away end are the last-resort food option if you reach the ground late. Buy outside if you want more choice or a pint.
The Grill House — away village trader
The Grill House has been listed inside Wycombe’s away village, making it a more convenient food stop than heading back into town. Treat it as a matchday lead, not a permanent restaurant.
